"You... Why are you here?! Don't you know that this place is a restricted area?" Juan tried his best to calm his composure as he asked. Even so, his voice still slightly shivered, evidently fearing that he might offend the other party with his words.
At first, when Juan found someone who trespassed the Slime's Lair from far away, he immediately rushed furiously to drive that person away. However, the more he got closer, the more he felt an ominous feeling, telling him that a bad premonition was ready to happen at any moment.
And when he reached a good distance and got a clearer view of the back of the person he wanted to drive away, he couldn't help but halt his steps. Looking at the back of that person, a kid to be precise, he felt that this boy was a bit familiar. He tried to recall where and when he had met this figure before. A vague image kept displaying in his mind, causing his heart to beat strangely wild and dreaded. It was as though his very instinct were trying to warn him and were telling him to leave that place as soon as possible.
Juan looked at that kid again, and around this kid, he could see a few slimes trying to attack him. But that kid, however, remained unmoving even when he got attacked. Juan frowned slightly as he couldn't understand why this person remained unmoving even after being attacked. Did he die already? Or did he receive some kind of abnormal status effect? No, that shouldn't be the case. Since this kid still hadn't turned into ashes, he must still be alive and well. And since low-level slimes couldn't inflict abnormal status effects, it was impossible for this kid to receive that kind of status effect as well. So, what in the world was going on with this kid?
However, just as Juan was trying his hardest to rack his brain for the answer, he suddenly saw that the slimes in the nearby area were gathering around the kid before him. Strangely enough, these slimes seemed like they didn't notice him as those that were near to him only ignored his presence and went directly to that kid. From the way it seemed, these slimes had some kind of resentment with that kid to settle.
Just as he expected, these slimes gathered around that kid and tried to attack him with all their strength. They even formed a pile of themselves so that they could attack him.
But then, that kid still remained unmoving. Juan could also see that he didn't receive any damage at all in spite of those many slimes attacking him. He could immediately tell that he was likely to be a high-level player with that high defense he had.
However, this wasn't all.
Just after a few moments, another more shocking thing happened right before Juan's eyes. To his shock, that kid suddenly unleashed a terrifying power. All the slimes gathering around him were sent flying by something like a vortex of wind. And in the process, something invisible and sharp cut those many slimes into many pieces while they were still in the midair.
In the next moment, the bodies of the pile of slime that were still alive and kicking a moment ago rained down and splattered on the grassland. But unlike the slimes in the tutorial ground that Vi had killed before, these slimes didn't turn into ashes as their bodies remained like jelly on the ground.
Seeing the sudden event, Juan, on the other hand, fell into a stupor. He found his heart skipping a beat, his eyes almost budged out and his jaw dropped down. Thankfully, he was standing a good distance away, or else, he might have been implicated and turned into countless pieces just like all those slimes.
Afraid that something like that would really happen, Juan immediately shifted his full attention to the kid before him. And when he had a much clearer view of him, a certain person finally entered his mind. He recalled the time when Vi left and walked away after beating them black and blue.
Juan was finally certain of it. This kid before him, he finally recalled who he was. And that was, of course, the brat who had beaten them up just early this morning. Just how on earth did this monster appear here? Wasn't he satisfied beating them back then and he appeared here to ruin his job?
So, going back to the current time, Juan was facing the brat he had met before nervously. Cold sweats couldn't help but appear on his forehead, his skin was all pale. Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, he waited for the other party to respond.
"This is a restricted area? How come the system didn't warn me? Is there something wrong?" Vi replied in a confused tone as he stared at Juan, tilting his head sideways. But then, he kept a calm demeanor, making the other party a bit more agitated.
"That..." Juan took a moment of thinking before he finally replied, "There is nothing wrong with the system. But since our guild found this dungeon first, naturally it belongs to us and is restricted to the outsiders."
"Oh? You found this dungeon first, so it belongs to you?" Vi responded, staring at the other party more sternly.
"T-hat... Y-yes, of course! So, can you hurry and leave this dungeon now and just look for another one?" Although he was still nervous, Juan tried his best to drive Vi away in the most possible way. Since he couldn't drive this brat away forcefully, he might as well try to talk things out. In his mind, since he was just a kid, he should be easily fooled, right?
But hearing the other party, Vi suddenly frowned. Displeasure was written all over his face. How dare this weakling try to drive him away? This guy must be seeking death!
"You want me to leave this dungeon?" Vi suddenly replied in a cold tone. He glared at the other party coldly and released a murderous aura as he continued, "What if I don't want to?"
"Eiickkk!" Juan subconsciously took a couple of steps backward as he had his heart feel terror. But recalling that there were some people more terrifying than the other party could ever be, he suddenly regained his courage as he responded, "Don't push your luck brat. You might be stronger than me, but I am not alone. If you leave now, we might still forget the matter about earlier and have our own ways. But if you keep persisting and stubbornly remain here, our guild will never let you off. I'm telling you, if that happens, you won't have a good time playing for the rest of your life!"
