"Grrrr... That brrrat... How could he be so fast... Did he invest all his stats on Agility?" Cardo muttered, watching Vi being chased out by his men. However, instead of fear, this brat seemed like he was enjoying it. It also appeared like he was toying with his people. On top of that, he even had the time to hunt for the slimes in the area while running away.
Watching the scene unfold from a distance, the veins on Cardo's head and all other parts of his body couldn't help but bulge out. The more he looked at this mess, and the more he saw his people failing to catch that brat, the more he felt like exploding from anger. Perhaps he should just make a move himself and stop relying on this bunch of incompetent fools.
With that in mind, Cardo finally decided to stop observing and catch Vi himself instead. He refused to believe that this brat would be able to escape his grasp as well.
"You've forced me, brat. Don't blame me for being merciless!" And, just like that, Cardo whipped his horse and joined the fray. A huge halberd also appeared in his hand as he went after Vi. His eyes were as sharp as the eagle's, a murderous aura also exuded out of him. It was as though he had finally found a prey to eat after a long time.
Vi, on the other hand, only smiled lightly, seeing that Cardo was finally making a move himself and was going in his direction. But since that was the case, maybe he should stop playing around as well. He'd already wasted enough time. There were still those slimes that were waiting for him.
"All of you, leave no one alive. I don't want to see any nuisance anymore." And thus, Vi stopped fooling around as he commanded the six men under his control. Although he couldn't kill these people chasing after him with his own hands, it didn't mean that he had no other way. He could just use those six to do the killing for him and then let them bear the consequences of such an action.
Without delay, the six men didn't just interrupt the casting of the skills of the other party anymore. They instead hit their vitals, bringing a lot of damage to them.
Although the Red Sun guild members had retaliated and managed to make a counterattack, it still appeared that they were on the losing side. Who would have thought that, after being controlled, these six would be this ferocious as though they were machines made solely for killing? Unlike the other party, these six appeared like they didn't feel pain when they got stabbed or hit by any kind of attack as they would continue to attack not giving a damn to their own well-being.
Helpless, the Red Sun guild members stopped trying to save these six fools as they fought to the death against them instead. Six versus sixteen, the brawl raged on accompanied by cries and roars.
Regretfully though, while the Red Sun guild members could use potions when their HP went down, those six couldn't. It appeared like Vi wasn't at the level where he could control certain individuals to touch the items in their Inventory. He could only control their bodies to do basic attacks, incapable of casting any skills at all.
As such, although these six killed five of the other party, they didn't last too long and suffered in the end. They then turn into ashes, leaving only their items behind.
But at last, their long unfulfilled wishes had been granted. These six could finally log out of the game and heave a long and deep breath. Being under control for too long as they could only spectate the surroundings with their character made them feel a bit too uncomfortable.
Was it fear? Was it joy? Excitement? Anger? They didn't know what they felt at that moment, but who would have thought that after suffering such a case, they would find out that they could do more with their characters? Their potentials weren't really limited to what they could currently do.
They only used basic attacks earlier and what had they seen?! They turned about twenty people into complete chaos as they even managed to kill five of them before they died. If it was them controlling their character, could they do it?
Doubt naturally filled the six. They tried to recall what had happened earlier again and again as helplessness filled them next. They knew full well that if they weren't under control, they wouldn't be able to achieve such a feat.
Meanwhile, a while ago before the six died, Vi was standing calmly amidst the battlefield, unfazed by whatever the hell was transpiring around him.
In his line of sight, he could see Cardo rushing in his direction with his mount. A weapon could now be seen in his hand, ready to cleave down everything. His eyes were flashing with a cold glint and Vi could feel the murderous aura shrouding this man. He could tell that this guy was so eager to crush him already.
"Sigh, this guy is pathetic." Vi sighed as he muttered to himself and continued, "Let me show you what true power will be like."
After Vi said those words, he disappeared from where he was standing, shocking Cardo completely that his eyes widened and his heart skipped a beat. That kid disappeared again? Why did he feel a bad feeling about it?
"Hello,"
Cardo was still in the midst of his contemplation when he suddenly heard a dreadful voice beside him. Cold sweats immediately appeared on his face, his expression went pale. It felt like the grim reaper itself was standing by his side.
But before he could react more and turn to look at the source of that voice, a silent yet powerful blow banged his face extremely hard.
Blood and teeth then came out of his mouth and before he knew it, he was already flying in the air. It went for a few seconds before he began rolling on the ground next. Too bad, there was no tree to bump into as he rolled a bit further away compared to the men who suffered the same case beforehand.
The instant his body came to a halt amidst the grassland, Cardo found himself unable to move on his will. His limbs kept twitching. The dignified and imposing demeanor he displayed earlier was nowhere to be found as he ended up in a pathetically wretched state. Looking at him right now, even his parents wouldn't be able to recognize him anymore.
