Chapter Two Hundred Forty Six

Jacob frowned when he saw Theo, who had also got off at the bus stop near his house. He looked at the bus that had left and then looked at himself, who was standing in front of him.

"Why did you come down? Theo?"

Theo shrugged and put his hands in his jeans' pockets. "Should I not?"

"No, you can't, Theo." Jacob took a deep breath. "Would you like to come over to the house?"

Theo smirked but shook his head. "I'm just going to get you here."

Jacob's eyebrows rose. He really couldn't understand the boy's attitude today. If he just wanted to take him to the bus stop, he didn't have to get off the bus. Besides, the next bus will come in about ten minutes.

"Then I'll go home first, okay? Thank you for today," Jacob said.

Theo smiled and nodded. "See you the day after tomorrow at school, Jacob."
