Chapter Two Hundred Forty Eight

Jacob frowned when Theo missed the bus that he usually took to get home. But he doesn't seem worried. He even looks busy with his cellphone. This week, he's been paying more attention to Theo because of his father's request. He doesn't know what the problem is, but Theo looks fine. Apart from the change in his attitude since his mom was admitted to the hospital, he didn't show any other strange behavior.

"Theo...?"

Theo mumbled. He then put his cellphone in his uniform blazer pocket and turned to him. "Yes?"

"Your bus was over."

"Oh? It doesn't matter. I will take another bus to go to Aunt Steph's house."

Jacob frowned.

"The twins are at Aunt Steph's house because Dad and mom went to the hospital. They haven't come home yet, so I'll go to Aunt Steph's house instead of being at home alone," Theo explained.

"Ah... I see."

"You want to come? You haven't played with the twins in a long time," Theo said.
