Chapter 47: The Distance Between Us

AMANDA’S POV:

While I’m at the flower shop, I picked out a few plants to put around the house. While I’m checking out at the counter, the cashier said, “Did you just see what the guy did?”

“No. What did he do?” I asked with a look of confusion.

“He had me arrange some flowers, then while he was checking out, he threw a 50.00 dollar bill on my counter and left.” The cashier said.

“Oh, wow! That’s odd. Who was it?” I replied.

“I’m not sure. I’ve never seen him here before.” The cashier said, confusingly.

“Hmm.. Well, I wouldn’t worry about it. Maybe he was running late. And had to hurry.” I replied.

“Yeah. Maybe.” The cashier said.

“Here’s my money for the plants. I won’t throw it at ya.” I laughed.
