Chapter 26: When Push Comes To Shove

"I mean, our families are sitting ducks," Viv said earnestly. She had explained her position over and over again. "We might have a chance at fighting this stuff off, but they certainly won't. Where are our families right now? Seven different places or more. Where are we? One."

"More reason to hit them hard now," Pat said with a clenched fist. "The longer we leave them to fester, the longer our families have to deal with them. The more people will have to deal with them. We have to stop the spread now, before it gets any worse," he countered.

"We need to focus on defense first," Felicity disagreed. "Viv is right, we can't let our families be endangered because of a risk WE took."

"The BEST defense is a strong offense," Pat insisted. "We're gonna hit them before they even have a chance to touch us. You will have enemies as long as you don't fight them."

"This isn't football, we're not trying to score goals while our families get trampled," Sol interjected.
