Liliana's POV
The ride home was a blur. Aubrey was still reviewing everything they knew about vampyres.
"So, you're telling me he is one of the good guys? Well, then why all the crappy PR? Why do movies and TV shows portray them as evil?"
Glancing down at the phone and an unexplainable note in her hand, Liliana rolled her head to look out the window. Eventually leaning back into the seat, a half-hearted reply was mumbled.
"I don't know. Maybe there are bad vampires. Guess I need to return his calls. He's been pretty relentless this past week. I've just been hiding."
The car rolled to a stop in front of the flower shop. The trip had turned out to be far more than the continuation of a ritual. Aubrey looked at the rolled-down shade covering the front door's glass and remarked.
