Ivory woke her sleeping knight with a gentle nudge and a cup of coffee. When his eyes opened they were bright, looking over the immediacy of the room. He smiled and kissed her, taking the coffee for a sip. He rose from the seat and stretched out his legs in long strides across the house, taking his time as he passed the windows.
“Been up long?” Joshua questioned Ivory, who’d begun making breakfast. He put a hand on her hip and kissed the back of her neck, she smiled so he kissed a second time. “I don’t know how you manage to be so graceful in the most simple of tasks.” He kissed her a third time and left his chin on her shoulder, smelling at the meat sizzling in the pan.
