Ever since I took Anna home, Ray has been hard at work coordinating meetings for strategies and tactics against any sudden attacks from the Vagabonds. Him and Gabe have practically become inseparable, and even Scarlet was able to put aside her affections for the former in order to protect her pack as well. 


A part of me is a bit pissed that he was so quick to forget Anna just like that, but then again, I’ve never seen him so serious before. Even when there were emergencies prior to this incident, he’s always done work because it was his duty. But now, it’s almost as if rather than through obligation, he’s willingly putting himself through the work to ensure the people’s safety. Like a true Alpha. 


Smiling, I lean back onto the fence of my house, watching him lead a pack of men to his own while going over their training regimen. I guess what Anna said did strike something in him. If only she were here to see it.
