Bargain (Eureka)

"Things are starting to get a bit rowdy down there, don't you think?" I said while taking a sip of my tea, well it's not real tea but it tastes the same.... I never could forget the taste of Mother's special blend.

"Yes.... I'm afraid if this goes on any longer, my champion may not survive," The man in white silky robes and a rather dapper top hat said.

I sighed and continued taking a sip of my tea, I got the memory jussssttttt right, once I leave this I won't have to rely on echos anymore.

"Well...?" the man muttered, he was looking at me expectantly, "Well?" I answered innocently.

The boy frowned deeply, his grey eyes a whirlpool of sadness, his milky white skin glimmered in the imaginary moonlight of my prison, I'd almost feel pity for him.... if this man wasn't such a worthless progenitor.

Xar-Xar the Claymaker, the unknown god of humans of Garland, A young carefree celestial, he rarely if ever shows himself to his followers, often leaving them to their devices.

Now, Now.... I can't fault him, it's not odd for gods not to interfere too much in the world of mortals, Less they suffer the wrath of their fellow celestials, But.... to not aid at all? more so since the dawn of their follower's birth? Pretty scummy if you ask me.

He realizes this too.... if this goes on any longer, the humans of Garland may cease to exist, as did the lunar fae before them....

"Do no look at me, all this is of your doing.... rather your lack of doing I'm the first place, child...." I said whilst placing the tea back towards my mouth.

"I am no child.... and I am aware of the situation...." he retorted whilst scratching the back of his rusty red hair.

"Are you now....? Then you'd know I have no way of helping you child,"

"I am not a-"

"I was born during the era when dreamers walked amongst filers, I have witnessed the beginning and end of entire dimensions and universes, I am present whenever my followers have a clever idea, be it a brilliant invention or queer conception of art.... I am always there when they are born, I am the Baron's beloved eldest daughter...." I said heartedly, memories of my family and our endeavours race through my mind.

"....Needless to say..." I rise from my glass chair and tower over this ma- no.... child, "I witnessed the birth of your motley little rock too! If I wasn't imprisoned here, I would have destroyed you the moment you showed your worthless face,"

My form changes, no longer am I in my doll form, no longer am I covered in the million and one eyes that were speckled all over my body.

My curly blue hair gone, my princess outfit gone!

My arms are long, Gnarled, ghastly brown things now, my hands six fingered and misformed, twisted and crooked.

My dress is replaced witha long black toga with speckles of gold sprinkled on it, the black so deep and dark, it almost swallows you and the gold so bright it nearly blinds you.

On top of my Now straight long white hair sits a crown made of glass and iron and other nasty little things.

My eyes.... are no more, yet I can see Xar-Xar completely, I can see the horror on the poor child's face, and who would blame him when I take this form? It's not everyday a youngling like him gets to witness an Elder Spawn, the bane of gods!

He takes a step back, boring a hole at the floor, trying his best not meet my non existent gaze....

"Do not test me child.... even imprisoned I can still...." I groaned, shifting back to my previous form, It's a pain keeping powerful forms like this for long, I won't need to worry about that part for much longer, yes not much longer....

"O-Of course! Forgive me!" He cried while bowing deeply, a look of relief plastered on his freckled little face.

"Well then.... what do you truly want? why are you here?" I said, resting back into my glass chair.

"It's.... about your new champions.... the Grime twins," he mumbled, "I wish for them to aid my champion on his journey,"

".....they are pawns at best, albeit a valuable set! Why would I risk their safety to undo your own foolish negligence?" I asked heartily, my body trembling with rage.

This upstart is already spying on the twins.... I might have to readjust my plans quickly, perhaps sending them back to their world for protection?

"Well.... Lady Eureka, I-I am not the only one who has observed them, the World shaker and Deep lord think of them nothing special but.... the others are getting worried, my kin think the twins might cause chaos if left unchecked!" He said hurriedly.

".....They will leave before any of that happens though, if my calculations are correct, in 2 years they'll be gone from Garland,"

"A lot can happen in 2 years.... especially when it comes to humans, you know how quickly they get things done.... they might not be willing to wait that long...."

"is that a threat?"

"No! NO! just pointing out facts my lady," He said spiritedly, "You know how impatient us Younglings are about these things!" He added.

I studied Xar-Xar for a moment, his nervous smile told me all I needed to know, this little creature plans to pit the twins directly against the new sprite huh? I planned on crushing him eventually, the tainted prince must not rise to godhood, an entity as him will not play by the established rules.

And that.... may draw the Wison's attention to my escape plan, still.....

"I am not pitting the twins against your monster!"

"nor will you have too! My champion.... Gastard will do the slaying, all I need is for Castor Junior to watch over him during the rebirth process and Cecelia to put the finishing touches! They can at least do that much right?" he said, I nodded my head thoughtfully, he seized the opportunity to continue talking.

"I'll talk to Plucks, I'll have her move the garden to the tainted palace in a year's time, that'll help your schedule, would it not?" He said with a soft smile on his face, it died away immediately I summoned my red leathery book.

I held the festive covered book in my left arm, I stroked the octagonal runes, they were etched on it's front cover, they glowed yellow and orange.

Six of them in total, each had a permanganate tree in the middle, the sign of father and mother's love, I'm glad I had the wisdom to hide this from the Wison.

"You know what this is right?"

"..."

"Your deal is fair, your plan is solid, but...."

"You still don't trust me?"

"Of course not! This entire deal stinks but I'll humour you.... Sign your name, YOUR TRUE NAME.... there, have This.... 'Plucks' do the same, and I'll have my pawns follow through with your plans.... do not and I'll personally destroy this George Gastard of yours,"

"You'd break the rules of-"

"I would destroy it and shatter your hopes in the process, It doesn't take much for me to project my conciousness onto a mortal, I'll bet your Georgie can survive it for a few minutes at best before he breaks...." I cooed, Xar-Xar shuddered at this.

"But.... I'm not gonna do that! So far as you show me your resolve and sign your name in that book! Oh and add The more troublesome of your kin in there too!"

"But the deal was-"

"Are you questioning me?"

"...No lady Eureka, no I am not....." He said bitterly, a look of resignation in his eyes.

He immediately produced a pen from mid air and signed his True name onto the book, he dissapeared instantly, probably to get his brethren signatures too.

I sighed, now I have to find a way for Caz to survive in the tainted palace until the rainbow garden gets there.... no matter, It's not a big deal.... I'll just have to readjust my plans again.

Still.... well best not to dwell on things too much! Zachariah huh...? Perhaps his destruction will prove fruitful to The twins in the future.
