Suffocate

I noticed that she didn't have her crutches with her and since I came in, she tries moving around without them.

Watching her through half-closed lids, I pretended like I wasn't watching at her.

Of course, I was, Megan was my girlfriend, staring at her was just something I couldn't get my eyes away, but then, I just needed to pretend like all this isn't happening.

Like, I was not arguing with Megan, I just don't want to get in her way, so avoiding her is the best way possible.

She noticed it too, especially as I pretended that I was over serious watching over something on my phone.

The next thing I noticed was that Megan had walked across the small parlor, and was now standing right in front of me. I had the urge to ignore her, I wanted to do that but my conscience will not allow me to do so.

"Are you mad at me?" Megan inquired in a small voice.
