Invitation (2)

"I no longer belong to Vampira. And… My Lord, lower your voice. You will wake up my lady. She is tired today. The day is tough," Celine said with the same flowery smile.

Indirectly saying she remembers that fact and it's just that she doesn't care about that fact.

Zaros want to clutch her neck and choke her to death. But he stopped himself from doing that from that second. He would have to wait to do that after some time.

"My Lord, trying to kill me is equal to acquiring more hate from the Lady. You did that already by hurting Lady Adira. My Lady might not be expressive but she loathes you for her current situation. If she knew you are here and fighting with me to carry her. What would the lady think?

"She would think I am not doing my job well. I don't want to be blamed for the things I didn't do intentionally," Celine said.

Celine saw how Lenora cried during the nights remembering her brother and mother for days. Yet nobody showed up for her. They left her when she needed them the most. Yet now, they were the ones who pushed her into the pit of troubles all over again. And now see here, they were here asking for her forgiveness just because they found the truth. What happened to their powers when they could know the truth about the murder? They didn't put in an effort. And now they came?

What for?

She won't allow them to touch her unless Lenora consents.

"As her brother, I have the right to carry her," Zaros repeated.

Celine passed a smile that looked like a sarcastic smile which irked him further. If not for her special identity, he would have killed this woman long ago.

"Mmmhh…" they heard Lenora's groan.

"Leave, My Lord," Celine said.

Zaros glared at her. Celine just shrugged at him.

"My Lady," Celine called out.

"Celine," Lenora called out as she yawned. Her legs were numb due to the uncomfortable position she was in for the past few hours. And the moment she opened her tired eyes, she was met with the rising rays. That almost blinded her.

"My Lady, it's sunrise. We have to get inside," Celine said.

Lenora nodded and tried to get up but she fell back. She sat back in the bench for few seconds till she felt comfortable.

"My Lady, King Valorine is here to visit you," Celine said to Lenora as she motioned her towards the direction where Zaros was standing.

Lenora looked at him for a long time before tearing her gaze away from him.

"Celine, Pass an invitation for me," Lenora said.

"Yes, My Lady," Celine said politely.

"Tell King Valorine that I am inviting him to a chat after tomorrow's breakfast," Lenora said as she got up from her seat and started walking inside her chambers. She felt tired extremely after a huge emotional turmoil. Lenora cried for a long while after she got rejected by her husband ruthlessly.

"King Valorine, My Lady invites you to have a brunch tomorrow. Would you like to accept the invitation?" Celine asked like usual with her usual smile.

"I will," Zaros responded with a smile.

He was worried that Lenora would never talk to him. But today he has confidence. After her invitation, he was very happy. He sprinted to his empty chambers and decided to rest.

He felt something was missing from it. He couldn't pinpoint it but his heart felt empty. He looked all around and realized his useless wife was missing. Missing? This was weird.

He made his way to her chambers only to see her naked.

What?

Naked?

His silvery eyes started to turn into red color as he looked at her. It looked like she took a bath as she started applying oils to her body. Her body odor filled his nostrils. Unconsciously he took steps forward to her. Adira didn't notice her husband in her chambers as she continued with her actions. When she was done applying her oils, she turned toward her bed. As her clothes were placed on it.

As she walked her ass swayed and her breasts jiggled. Her body moments made Zaros go hard. Feeling the heat rising in his body he immediately dashed towards her and pinned her under him on her bed.

Adira stiffened at his sudden actions.

[What's wrong with him?] Liena asked Adira.

[I don't know.] Adira replied to her wolf Liena.

[I am not liking his touch.] Leina said shocking Adira.

Generally, Wolf doesn't feel disgusted at their mate's touch. Here Leina wasn't liking her mate's touch. Now this made her doubt his mate's identity.

"Please leave," Adira whimpered under him agonizingly.

Zaros was shocked at her words. She never rejected him like this. Even if she didn't like him touching her, she never said a single word. She accepted his touch but now she wasn't accepting his touch. What's wrong with her?

In this moment of his distraction. Adira pushed him away and slipped under the covers and wrapped them around her tightly as if she was protecting herself from a monster.

He felt heartache at her actions.

"Please leave," Adira said as she looked at him with fear.

Were these the same that looked with admiration at him in the start?

Then where did it go wrong? He thought.

He walked out of her chambers as he immersed himself in his thoughts about the change in her behavior.

He didn't realize or thought about the fact that his behavior made her change like this.

Zaros thought it was her only behavior that made her like this. He didn't want to accept the fact that it was his fault that made her change like this.

A man like him to change takes a lot of time to change.

This was going to be tough and hard for her to deal with him. When Adira realized that her husband left the chamber she heaved a relieved sigh.
