"I saw the hate and the truths that need to be seen and heard. So… I don't want to put my self-respect down for you. As you are not worth it. So… we will act as a perfect married couple in front of everyone." She said with a straight face. She could see the crack in his face. Yet she didn't care. She suffered more than just facial expression cracks than him.
"As for sex, it's an obvious no. You will not touch me even if you are horny. You are free to find someone else for your pleasure," She said. She would be glad that he was having his fun outside. That way he would be blamed, not her.
Zaros was surprised at this. He thought she would be jealous if he was with someone else. But she wasn't and even saying it's fine with her. How could she say it? Weren't women the most jealous creatures?
"When we are in the bedroom, we will act like strangers, and outside we will be the best enviable couple in the world," she said to the other one.
Okay… he can say she was worried about the pact and things. She doesn't want to ruin the pact. Well… he can say she wants this pact even after this toxic marriage. She was a responsible woman.
"You can have any woman with you. I don't care about that. And your vampire women can't get pregnant. So there is nothing for you to be worried about having a bastard child. As for Werewolf women… they're loyal… they won't sleep with other men than their mates," she said so confidently that made him wipe out the response he formed in his mind. He felt like she could read his thoughts.
"I won't get involved in your things and You won't get involved in my things. We will mind our own business," Adira finished what she wanted to say.
Zaros felt his heart being prickling with thousand needles as he heard her every word. She didn't care about him or his feelings. This thought was the only thing that was ringing in his mind.
His heart felt like it was stabbed by a sharp sword. His heart was bleeding at her words yet he didn't dare to face her or say something against her.
All he wanted to know was… was she that hurt?
"Did I hurt you this much?" he asked in his choked voice as he searched for some truth in her eyes. The answer to his question was very obvious but he wanted to hear it from her mouth.
Adira was first surprised at his question but she soon recovered from it.
"You did. And it doesn't matter now. I know what are my duties. I will fulfill them," she said looking at him with no emotions in her eyes.
Were these the same eyes that looked for him in anticipation?
Were these the same eyes that looked for him with love?
Looks like he broke her for real.
He has many questions and doubts in his mind, which he didn't dare to ask. Gulping all of them down, he looked at her.
"I agree to all of the requests," he said.
She nodded.
"Are you hungry? I will get the maids to bring some food," she asked.
"Yeah, let's have food together," he said.
"I already had food. You can have it. I will accompany you," she said making his face fall. He said nothing and sat in silence.
Adira shattered his heart into pieces even before she got the chance to apologize to her. He doesn't know how to approach her or make things right.
He agrees and accepts everything he did and said was wrong to her. Just because he was regretting, things won't turn right on their own. He has to show her that he was really regretting the things he did under the spell. Being under the spell or not... if he was careful this wouldn't have happened.
After that, he will start a fresh start and will have many babies with her.

On the other side...
The Hunter's Forest...
As the darkness clouded the thick and dense forest. Ophelia slept soundly. She was both physically and mentally tired from the events that happened.
Just then a man with a round face, small chin, high nose, and beady eyes wearing black clothes appeared in front of Ophelia out of nowhere.
A smile formed on his lips as he looked at Ophelia with an evil glint.
"Master gave me a present," he mumbled under his breath as he chuckled lowly.
Opening his palm, he placed it on her forehead trying to sense her energy. Time went ticking seconds turned minutes but he couldn't sense her energy.
"No wonder, she became a pawn under the master," he mumbled.
Taking a dried leave which was scattered around them, he placed it on her forehead. He chanted some spells as he concentrated on the dried leaf, as he folded his thumb, ring, and pinky fingers while keeping his pointing and middle fingers pointed to the leaf.
As seconds passed, the leaf started gaining life. It turned into the brightest green color of the leaf. The green started creeping from the tip of the leaf to the end of the stem. When it reached the mid-way it stopped. The leaf slid down from her forehead and landed on the ground.
His face held an amused smirk. "Looks like she has been emptied," he thought to herself.
It's a power check test he did on her. From his check and test, he realized that her core and mana has been emptied to a good extent. It means she was not taught replenishing methods.
This was something fun to play for him.
He chanted some more spells locking her remaining powers and mana and turning her completely useless for a witch. She can only use her vampire skills now.
Then he carried Ophelia in his arms before disappearing from that place.
