Awkward moment with husband

Adira didn't expect she would be blessed to see her husband in his half-naked form. He was only in his towel making her shy away from her place. Before she could get out, and run away, a servant came and handed her Zaros clothes.

She frowned at this. Didn't he have clothes in the chambers? Why does a maid have to come and give?

She found it weird.

Nevertheless, she has to give him clothes. She would just put them down and will walk away. The moment she turned around she bumped into his hard naked chest blowing her mind.

Adira couldn't comprehend what was happening with them anymore. She doesn't know… why she couldn't move or why she couldn't say something.

All she could hear was his heartbeat. Heartbeat?

Didn't the witch give him ring to hide it? Then why she could hear it?

[Mate bond] Leina came and answered her doubt.

She nodded to herself and continued to listen to his heartbeat. For some reason, she wasn't feeling fearful anymore. She was liking being with him. He wasn't angry with her anymore. He was gentle, loving, and caring.

She can sense that he was observing her and watching her. From his actions, she can truly say he was behaving mindfully. For what?

She doesn't know. Maybe this was another deception. She strongly believes that he didn't lose his memories but acted like one.

All the memories came into her mind like a flood. Her breathing became ragged at them. She wanted to act as if nothing happened but she couldn't.

Even she was a person with heart and feelings. She can't act as if nothing happened.

And these feelings were about a man with whom she was supposed to share her life! How could it be easier?

When love was easier?

It made people cry, fight, drown in agony, sadness, and even broken hearts.

It changed people. It has shown the different side and the desperate side of the people who were on the receiving end.

Love…. It isn't something that can be taken lightly.

It involves tears, heartbreaks, family members, and many more. It can give you the world or can shatter the world. Nobody knows what kind of person you will be when you are in love and nobody knows what kind of person you will be when you are out of love.

And… When a woman is out of love… she will be the worst enemy one can have.

Adira was a happy-go girl with a bubbly and chirpy attitude. But now… she was a silent woman. Love changed her. Things escalated quickly that made her fall in love and fall out of love.

She was a mature woman compared to her old self from four months ago. It's as if her mind has matured now.

Adira came out of her trance when she felt hands around her body. She could feel hot breath fanning the side of her face. If this thing happened even a month ago, she would have felt many things but now. She just couldn't.

"Your clothes, My Lord," she said expressionlessly.

Zaros saw his shy wife was trying to escape from him. When she was about to flee, a maid came and gave her clothes for him. Earlier, he was rummaging for his clothes but he felt that they were too warm, so he asked the servants to arrange some thinner clothes for him.

That's the exact moment when Adira wanted to leave. He thanked the heavens for sending the servant inside at the right time.

Zaros noted that she was in inner turmoil after receiving the clothes. She was pondering when she shall leave. One thing that he loved about her was… her expressions. Her expressions were an exact reflection of her thoughts. He could read her like an open book with the faces she makes.

Zaros slowly walked towards her intending to scare her but she turned around bumping into his hard chest, making him turn restless. The smell of roses and sandalwood hit his nose making him turn into a statue. He wanted to bury his face in her neck as he inhaled her sweet scent through his nostrils. Her proximity, closeness, scent, touch, and heightened senses drove him crazy.

The way she perked her ears to hear his heartbeats, and how she tried to touch his chest to feel his heartbeat under his palm, made him anticipate her touch which never came. Lowering his head, he watched her frozen hand in the mid-air which sent a pang to his heart.

He could see she was attracted to him but wasn't willing to take a step forward towards him to move ahead due to his past actions. She was hurt because of his actions.

He was working hard to build the trust he lost. But why things weren't working? That was the question that bugged him the most.

She was attracted to him but stopped herself. If this goes on then… he won't be surprised if she drifts away from him one day. He doesn't want that.

He will keep pushing her till she accepts him and falls for him. And her hesitation he will break it down.

Maybe it's time for him to apologize. And come clean to her.

Wrapping his arms around her body he hugged her as he buried his face in her neck relishing in her scent for some time.

Just then she pushed him slightly and gave his clothes to him.

"Your clothes, My Lord," he heard her expressionless voice that squeezed his heart. But he masked it quickly and took his clothes.

"Don't leave," he said when he noticed she was about to leave.

She looked at him confused as if asking for an explanation.

"I need to tell you something," he said. She wanted to ignore him and walk away but his gaze was making it hard for her.

She wondered what was wrong with her that made her feel this way. Looking at his face one last time she nodded reluctantly. She only hoped this wasn't any one of his traps again.
