Chapter 87 - Kaname's reason

I will try to keep being consistent but know I need time to get my creative juice back.

Anyway, Toodaloo Bitches.

The fight erupted in a blur of fists and weapons. Karla's agility was unmatched as she danced around the group, her precise strikes landing with pinpoint accuracy. She used the environment to her advantage, leaping off crates and alley walls, while evading their blows with ease.

The Valkyrie's members struggled to keep up with her, their weapons clashing with the air more often than Karla's body. Her kicks and punches were like an intricate dance, and her opponent's attacks were futile against her mastery.

Kaname remained stoic yet taken aback by her opponent skills, tried to match Karla's speed with her Stuff martial arts, but she remained one step ahead. It was as if she could predict her every move. She disarmed one of the Valkyrie members and sent their weapon clattering to the ground, leaving the group with one less fighter.

'She's fighting all of us yet doesn't look like she's even trying.' Kaname thought narrowing her gaze on Karla's expression where she looks calm and collective showing her unbelievable skill against her opponent. While their fight was going on, Haruto was also busy fighting the Valkyrie trying not to hurt them too much.

"I'm always up for a good fight, but I don't want to hurt anyone too badly." Haruto cracked a half-smile then glanced over to Miu and Fusui.

"Let me handle this." He said while Kisara wanted to stop him but the clash of steel and flesh began, Haruto danced between the Valkyrie's attacks with a grace that belied his immense power. His precise blocks and counters kept their weapons at bay, and the Valkyrie were taken aback by his strength and speed.

Kisara was shocked to watch the fight unfold from Haruto's combat prowess to Karla's ability to combat against weapons despite being a girl shook her. Kisara even heard Karla's words that made her rethink her training. She watched in awe as the battle continued and saw Haruto fought the Valkyrie with ease.

But Haruto didn't retaliate with full force. He pulled his punches and kicks, opting to disarm rather than maim his opponents. His respect for his adversaries was evident, and it wasn't long before some of the Valkyrie began to appreciate his restraint.

One of them adapted and employed quick and agile strikes in an attempt to breach his defenses. Yet, Haruto's well-rounded martial arts training allowed him to adapt in kind, using grapples and takedowns to incapacitate his opponents without causing severe injuries.

"What the! How can they be this strong!? Even Freya-nee seems to be losing!" Kisara always refused to fight with a weapon despite Freya insistence that only through using weapons can a woman win against men which isn't wrong but isn't right either.

"She seems to believe that females can't be strong without weapons. But that's simply false. I know a number of skilled martial arts." Fusui commented recalling female fighters who can defeat even kure members. Kisara looked at her wondering who those people could be?

"How can someone like us match a man?" Kisara asked since she often was underestimated because of her gender and wanted to prove she can be strong without weapons.

"Hmm, I'm not a martial artist in the traditional sense but my grandfather said it's following your path and having faith in that will help you become stronger." Fusui was an assassin and hitman therefore wasn't walking a path to prove something. But her words made Kisara recall a distant memory as she watched the fight further.

As the fight continued, it became evident that the Valkyrie were no match for Haruto's skill and strength. One by one, they found themselves disarmed or incapacitated, but the injuries were minimal, thanks to Haruto's measured approach.

"How can you break our weapon with nothing but your bare hands!?" One of the Valkyries asked while Haruto shrugged, then gave the same speech that Shigure would have to help them grow. Fortunately, they weren't fated to be with Haruto and weren't smittenned since he didn't want to get too many women.

Meanwhile back to Karla and kaname's fight. The other half of the Valkyries were shocked that Karla parried and redirected their weapons like it was nothing while delivering power kicks and strikes that pushed them back causing them to wince in pain.

In the end, Karla's sheer skill proved insurmountable. With a powerful roundhouse kick, she sent Kaname sprawling to the ground, her body crashing into the street walls. The remaining members of The Valkyrie stepped back, realizing that they were outmatched. Kaname slowly got to her feet, dusting himself off, a begrudging respect in her eyes.

"You're truly exceptional, tell me your name" She asked while Karla put down her guard.

"Kure Karla, fiancee of Haruto Yuuki." The moment she spoke her name reminded Kaname of the name that he grandfather had mentioned who once trained her in Martial arts.

"That's why you took all of us with ease. You're from the clan that grandfather mentioned." Kaname said seeing her unable to find an opening and her subordinates barely able to fight back.

"You won this fight, Valhalla. Next time we'll get another match." She was about to leave but Haruto decided to hope that Kisara and Kaname switch sides, trusting his guts.

"Wait, before you go I want to know why you joined Ragnarok." Haruto stepped forward as Kaname stopped to look at him and feel a certain attraction coming from him. Haruto mentioned every single member 's reason for joining.

"You!? How do you know my reason for joining Ragnarok!?" Kisara asked.

"Oh, Niijima is quite amazing in his information gathering." Haruto replied.

"You mean that alien!" Kisara angrily said.

"I joined Ragnarok to learn from a man named Kensei but I still haven't seen him even once and Odin has been his personal student from god knows when." Kaname said while she gnashed his teeth in anger.

"Is that it... you joined because you thought that you would learn something from that person. Then if you want to learn more about weapons then I recommend my Master Shigure. I swear that your skills will vastly improve." Haruto explained where Kaname considered his words.

"Then what's in it for you?" Kaname asked while Haruto shrugged.

"I mean I just want you to stop being a member of Ragnarok and No, I don't need you to become part of our group but I promise you that my group has more benefits than Ragnarok." Haruto said and Kaname thought about his words.

"Hmm, lead me to your master then. I want to see if yours are true." Kaname said as Haruto smiled then out of nowhere he sensed someone familiar.

"Miu! dinner is ready." It was then Shigure appeared before them.

"I was just talking about you..." Haruto said as he looked at Shigure who was holding a spoon in her hand and walking towards them.

"What is it!?" Shigure asked.

"Nothing I just wanted to introduce you to someone" Haruto said to Shigure then looked at Kaname

"This is the person I mentioned! She is my weapon master and Shigure Kosaka, a grandmaster in all weapon styles" Haruto introduced Shigure to Kaname.

"Grandmaster in all weapon styles are you kidding me!?" Kaname asked in surprise.

"No I am not, she is a true grandmaster in all weapon styles, that's why I wanted to introduce her to you. If you really want to learn weapon style martial arts, she is the best one you will find" Haruto said.

"No, I can't believe that she is a grandmaster in all Weapons." Kaname while the weapon master's eyes flashed as she pointed the spoon at Kaname

"Your weapon."

She challenged Kaname while the latter raised an eyebrow when she saw Shigure challenging her for a fight with her weapon being spoon but still she didn't back down from the challenge as she held her staff with both her hands standing in her battle stance.

"Shigure you can't strip her naked, she has her underlings here to take care of." Haruto warned Shigure nodded her head while Kaname looked at him weirdly. Haruto, Miu, Fusui, Karla and Kisara stepped so as to not get caught between their attacks.

Kaname was the first one to strike as she thrusted the staff towards Shigure who blocked it with the top of her spoon after which she moved so fast that only Haruto, Karla and Fusui could see it clearly while others only saw blur.

The staff in Kaname's hands had many cuts in it at different places which occurred due to Shigure's spoon attack.

"This! This! if she wanted to hurt Kaname then she would have been able to do it without even a sweat" Kisara said as she saw Kaname's staff then Shigure's spoon.

Kaname was shocked as she hasn't seen anyone using a spoon to do something like that, though she knew that something like this is possible only when the person is a grandmaster in sword who can use anything as a sword.

Before Kaname could attack once again Shigure moved her spoon and this time totally decimated the staff in Kaname's hands.

"Weapons are extensions of your body, just like a fist to karate practitioner or elbows to Muay Thai, you have forgotten about it in the pursuit of power." Shigure said to Kaname.

"You are a sword art grandmaster." Kaname said in shock and respect.

"Not only a sword, Shigure is the master of all weapons." Haruto said as he walked towards them.

"So what do you think about leaving Ragnarok and coming to Ryozanpaku to learn from Shigure." Haruto said hearing Shigure's eyes shined as even though Haruto would come to her to learn some of her techniques he wasn't her student but if Kaname came then she would be her student hence she was expecting her to answer positively.

"Even though Odin has betrayed my trust, I can't leave Ragnarok that easily. Unless we disband then I can't leave until then." Kaname answered while Haruto shrugged it off.

"Just stop attacking people and causing trouble then that's fine. Also, Shigure is happy when training someone who has interest in weapon mastery." Haruto smiled where Kaname's heart felt like it was pulled while Shigure smiled hearing Haruto giving her the opportunity to train more people. She did enjoy training Sakura who was rapidly improving because of her teaching.

Kaname simply nodded glancing over to Kisara who looked troubled but determined before leaving as Haruto and his group were able to bring the kitten to the shelter.

"I want to know but…is it possible for someone like us to fight men equally?" Kisara asked looking at Karla who thought about it for a moment then nodded.

"Yes, if you join and train with us then maybe we can help you." Karla said while Kisara looked unsure but Haruto stepped between them.

"Neko-chan, it is fine to wish for your own path but learning from others can greatly help refine your foundation for the road ahead. That's what my master always says." Haruto quotes Akisame as Kisara considers and leaves them while the group wonders what she's going to do.

"So you think those girls will have interest in you?" Karla asked knowing he has [ Relationship Meter ] and irresistible charms.

"Only the two. Kisara seems to be a determined person while Kaname seems to be similar and her reason for not leaving is partially her integrity." Haruto noted having observed and acquired what he needed.

"Hope the kitty will find a home." Miu said as they were heading to Ryozanpaku.

"Don't worry I'm sure a family will take care of it with the love it deserves." Haruto softly said thinking about his past and how he is now. They soon arrived in Ryozanpaku and began training once again. The next day, Kisara waited for them in the entrances and thanked them for their help.

"The event yesterday might get your group be hunted against by Ragnarok. How about you join our group?" Haruto asked while Kisara crossed her arms.

"Not sure, I have to discuss this first with my group but truthfully I am leaning on joining you." Kisara answered while Haruto didn't mind telling her that his group helped regardless since that's just how Valhalla is made for. She couldn't help but admire his kind heart before long they left heading to class.
