Clark's secretary

"Mr. Fisher!" Clark called in a whisper immediately after he saw the scene before him. He shuddered to think what would have happened if he had come any later. He took the pillow from Skylar and dragged him out of the room.

"Thank you," Skylar said as soon as he became clear-headed. He almost killed Diana. Not that it would make any difference if she dies now or later, but now is just not the time.

"We are lucky Diana is a heavy sleeper," Clark said as he stabled his breathing.

" You can go to bed now," Skylar said, he turned to head to his room as well.

* Next morning *

"I'll be seeing you in the office tomorrow Mr. Fisher" Diana said her final goodbyes as she readied herself to leave. Skylar just waved his hand whilst he focused on the newspaper in his hand with a cup of coffee in front of him. Diana took that as a dismissal and followed Clark to the garage.

"We are here miss Diana," Clark announced as he halted in front of Garcia's household.

"Goodbye Clark sees you tomorrow," Diana said as she waved to the car that had started moving already.

"Who is Clark?" Diana was startled by the voice that came from behind her. It was Paula.

"Oh, Paula...when did you get here?" Diana said as she recovered from the shock that came from the startle Paula just gave her.

"We've been here since 8 am, so you can say we've been waiting for almost two hours."

"Is Pauline here as well?" Diana asked on hearing the "we've" in Paula's statement.

"Yup... I came out to meet you after I saw you getting down from that man's car," Paula said.

"Your mom has been worried sick, why didn't you call?" Paula asked as she took Diana by the arm and walked inside the house.

"Where have you been?" Kate rushed to Diana as soon as she saw her. "You've made it a habit to keep late nights without informing anyone!"

" It's not like that mom... It just slipped my mind to call anyone," Diana said.

" I'll just go freshen up, I have something to tell you and Dad," Diana said before heading to her room with Paula beside her.

They saw Pauline searching Diana's room when they got there. The room was all messy with things spread everywhere. Pauline did not hear Diana's voice when she came back. She was so engrossed in looking for the card the mysterious man gave Diana that she did not hear the footsteps.

"What are you doing Pauline?" It was Paula who spoke when she saw the mess her twin made. Pauline was cut off guard when she heard Paula's voice.

"Uhmm... I was looking for something."

"Something like what?"Diana asked as she picked up her things from the floor. She had a feeling that 'something' was not simple.

" That...that...the gown you wore to the party," Pauline said incoherently as she tried to come up with a lie. "The gown was so beautiful that I wanted to try and see how it'll look on me. We waited for you to come, but you took a lot of time, so I looked for it myself," she hoped the lie sounded believable.

"Is that the reason you dragged me here this early morning?" Paula said while she folded her hands beneath her bosom.

" Yes... I knew you wouldn't agree to come, so I didn't tell you" Pauline said with a nervous laugh. "I didn't know I made such a mess," she said as she joined Diana in arranging the room.

When they were done, Diana asked.

"Do you still want to try the dress..." she opened the wardrobe and the gown stood out among all the other dresses.

"Hehe...it was just there," Pauline said nervously hoping they won't catch up on her lie. " I don't want to try it on again maybe next time ".

Paula looked at Pauline skeptically while squinting her eyes. If she thinks they bought that lie then she was wrong. Well, maybe Diana did but not her.

"So where did you go last night?" Pauline asked trying to get all attention away from her.

"You guys should not be shocked by this," Diana said as she sat down ready to give them the gist.

"I met the guy from the party, his name is Clark, and he's the assistant of Mr. Fisher."

"Mr. Who???" Paula asked shocked that Diana managed to get in touch with one of the most prestigious men in the business industry.

"Mr. Fisher" Diana confirmed. " He is not Mr. Fisher himself but his assistant," Diana tried to bring their attention back to Clark. This was the cover-up story Skylar told her to tell someone if she ever wants to tell someone that she got a job. The twins didn't bother to realize that they'd seen this Clark somewhere; he was not mysterious.

But they were so hooked up on the story that they didn't try to string the pieces together.

"Long story short...I'm going to be working as his secretary," Diana said.

"I never imagined you'd ever want to work, and you are finally working, and it's because of a man!" Paula said while trying to digest the whole information.

"Why are you working there anyway, and how did you get the job? " It seems Pauline was more curious as to why Diana would work for a man she's trying to nab.

"Well, he mentioned needing a secretary and I offered to be one. He's playing hard to get, so I figured we could get close by working together," Diana said dreamily. She wasn't lying entirely, Skylar was playing hard to get, and she can get close to him by working as his secretary.

"You're smitten with this Clark dude, and you say it's just a crush." Paula teased.

"Well, it's really just a crush...a serious crush!" Diana said as she giggled.
