Boundless Voice part 2

Next day, jade had skipped the whole day's classes in order to replenish his energy by sleeping before the big meeting.

When it hit 4 PM, he woke up and got ready to go. And, sticking to what he always did, he was in the rendez-vous place 5 minutes prior. And this time around he was not really nervous as much as he was thrilled and excited to finally decipher all the secrets around what was happening to him.

The meeting was going to occur in an abandoned parking lot, that was around half an hour away from his university.

At 5 PM exactly, a car stopped by. and Aisha came out of the shotgun seat while the driver did not leave his place.

" I am glad you could make it "

Aisha noticed how inpatient Jade was.

" Let us not waste time anymore. I believe the best way to explain everything to you is similar to how someone learns to swim the first time. You just throw them right into the water "

" What do you mean? " Jade's mind was starting to get confused.

" Follow me and you shall see for yourself " She escorted him back to the car, and once he was inside, he noticed that the driver seemed to be sleeping.

" Now, please try to deactivate every one of your senses in the same time, and try not to be so much flabbergasted to what will result of you doing this.

With time, Jade had learned how to activate more than one sense at the same time, but he never tried activating them all in the same time, let alone deactivating them.

He tried to do so none the less. He started with what he considered the easiest, he closed his eyes and focus a bit until no kind of light could reach his eyes, it was as if he did not havde eyes at all. Then he did the same for his ears, nose, and skin.

Once he was done, he was basically completely isolated from the world, as if he no longer belonged to this world. Whatever happens around him, he won't be able to tell.

After a while of not noticing anything really happening he decided to open his eyes in resignation. And there it happened. His heart skipped a beat from the shock.

It was night time and he was inside a city bustling with movement everywhere. The city looked more like a medieval one, and that led him to think about one thing and one thing only : Isekai. This is the only explanation he could think of. He was in another world, and everything here felt strange to him.

It was somehow harder to see or hear clearly, he couldn't even breathe easily. Wherever he looked, he saw some kind of action happening. There were people selling stuff, others buying, there were even those who performed in the streets. And he could also catch a glimpse of a castle in the center of the city.

He wanted to go and interact with these people and explore this world to his heart content. After all, Jade's favorite novel genre was always Isekai. However, reality begged to differ. Once he started moving he noticed how exponentially harder it was to breathe now, and stay balanced.

One more step and he felt his consciousness fading. The last thing he perceived was somebody's hand holding him up. And just like that, he was back in the car with Aisha and the driver.

" What you just saw, is a place that could only be accessed by people like us. This world is named Judas." While she always enjoyed the look of awe she received every time she helped some one go there for the first time, she preferred going straight to the point.

" First of all, now that you registered your entry their, you will have an exact copy of your body their laying in the ground at the moment.

" But worry not, my friend Podric is close to your body out there and probably is already in the process to finding you a shelter somewhere. That is exactly why I requested we meet up here, because I can't have Podric enter the school's propriety and for him to find you easily you will have to be transported from a place near him.

" You might think that right now, your control over your senses is impeccable, but as you saw, at this level you won't be able to even walk there properly , let alone do any kinds of activities ".

" How could I improve fast? " Jade could not keep his excitement at bay. He wanted to go back there as fast as possible.

" Well, in order for you to really advance in this field, your best bet would be to learn some kind of practice that revolves around senses. And that's where our part as an association comes, all the training you will ever need to be able to survive in Judas will be offered by our teachers. "

" Is there no other way? an even faster way? " Jade was desperate to go back.

" Well, there are also other routes you could take, but from your profile, I don't think they will be to your liking... you could sign a contract with one of the organization that reached to you before and they will provide you with the necessary item to go there without problems "

" Wait, so that's what they meant when they asked me to work for them, they needed people who could access Judas...

" So, what is the catch, what should I offer you in return of teaching me? "

Aisha giggled a little.

" Haven't you payed attention to what I said yesterday. As I told you already, everything would be at your disposal for free. However we, of course, would love it that, once you become an expert yourself, you won't mind sharing your discoveries with the rest of the group. " She winked at him through the front mirror of the car.

" Not gonna lie, this is really tempting, I would definitely go along if it wasn't for the fact that I have to study and in the mean time, create an app that would turn profitable " Jade suddently remembered his other responsibilities.

Aisha's face distorted into an unforgiving expression.

" Are you telling me that a diploma and an app mean more to you than the ability to discover new realms and gain riches beyond recognition "

" Wait, riches? You never said anything about money. How much are we talking about exactly? "
