Hyatt Casino (1)

After waking up in the morning and following Ling Feng around for the entire day...

'So this place is one of Ling Feng's plots, huh.' Ronald stood about a few meters away from the entrance of the largest casino in the capital city.

'Hyatt Casino... brings back so many memories.' Ronald looked up at the large flashing sign with a nostalgic look in his eyes.

In his previous life, for the first couple of months after being transmigrated into this novel world, one of the things he would often spend his free time on whenever he didn't have to do the plot was to gamble in this casino.

And to be honest, Ronald had actually enjoyed spending his time gambling at this casino as well.

Not only was he extremely good at gambling since he had obtained god-like gambling skills from the system early on in his previous life, but he had made so many different kinds of villain friends from various different walks of life in this place as well.

But of course, those happy moments didn't last long at all because one day Li Wanruo just decided to ban him from the casino all of a sudden.

And not only that, but she also managed to completely get him banned from entering any more casinos in the capital city.

When Ronald had first found out about this in his previous life, he was completely shocked since he didn't know how the Li family managed to ban him from all the casinos in the capital city of China despite not being one of the 10 major families in the capital city.

But after digging around a bit, Ronald realized that although they weren't considered one of the 10 major families in the capital city of China, they pretty much had more influence and power than some of the 10 major families in the capital city.

'Oh well, that's all in the past now.' Ronald lighten himself up a bit and then started to make his way towards the entrance of the casino.

After stepping foot onto the second floor of the casino, reserved for only the extremely wealthy and influential figures, Ronald immediately approached a certain figure that had both of his legs up on the poker table and was sitting alone.

"What's up, down to play a couple of matches of poker with me?" Ronald asked with a smirk on his face.

"Hmm? Aren't you that loser who simps for that one girl? Fuck off why don't you?" The young man who had been approached by Ronald said in a disgusted voice.

"Haha no need to be so harsh, I've brought quite a bit of money with me, and you seem to be pretty rich, so why don't we go at it for awhile?" Ronald wasn't surprised by the man's attitude at all and kept persisting the man to play poker with him.

"How much money did you bring? In terms of USD." Seeing that Ronald wouldn't leave him alone, the young man decided that he might as well see if it's worth his time entertaining Ronald for a little bit.

Ronald raised up 3 fingers on one of his hand.

"300,000? You really are as brainless as what the rumors make it out to be." The young man stated in a mocking tone.

Ronald didn't say anything back but still kept his fingers up and shook his head.

"3 million? Not worth my time."

"30 million." Ronald announced with a arrogant look on his face.

"30 million? Better not back out now." The young man then signaled a dealer to come over.

"I won't." Ronald said indifferently.

Although he knew that the young man infront of him was incredibly good at poker, which was the reason why nobody wanted to approach him to begin with, with the god-like gambling skills he has acquired from the system, Ronald knew that he could easily defeat the man.

So with that in mind, Ronald got on the opposite side of the poker table with a wicked grin on his face.

"Fuck..." The young man looked at Ronald with a surprised expression on his face.

Despite being considered as one of the best poker players in the world, he had just lost about 50 million USD... and from a supposedly brainless idiot no less.

"Haha, well played." Ronald couldn't help but laugh.

"Damn Ronald, were you even actually a brainless idiot to begin with?" The young man was genuinely curious, from the way that Ronald had been acting throughout all of the poker games, Ronald looked more of like the god of gambling than a brainless idiot.

"Who knows? You can believe whatever you want to believe." Ronald shrugged.

"Woah, acting mysterious, huh? Pretty cringe if you ask me, but it's nice to meet you. I'm Grant, Grant Griffin." Grant raised his hand across the poker table and offered Ronald a handshake.

Even though he was never usually this friendly towards anyone else besides some of his comrades overseas, he felt that he could get along with Ronald really well.

"Ronald Kuangge." Ronald shook Grant's hand and smiled back at him.

The reason why Ronald can get along with Grant fairly well despite Grant usually being extremely arrogant and cold towards everyone he sees was because he was actually a mid-level villain that appeared midway through the first half of the story.

To be more specific, Grant Griffin was actually another God of War in the Western World that would eventually rival with Ye Fan in about a few months from now.

He would also be the first mid-level villain that Ye Fan would have a hard time defeating, as Grant was actually much more powerful than Ye Fan.

Of course, Ye Fan would eventually prevail and end up killing him though with his harem members, but that wasn't of any concern to Ronald.

"Ah yes thanks for telling me your name, I totally didn't know that from the get-go. What a life changing moment!" Grant stated sarcastically.

"Oh by the way, can you teach me how to become better at poker?"

"Sure, why not." Ronald then got up from his seat and started to make his way to Grant's side.

Just as he was about to grab a chair and place it down at a position where he can be close to Grant and still monitor Ling Feng and his group however...

"THAT BASTARD HAS BEEN CHEATING THE WHOLE TIME!"
