Hunting Down Iris

A few minutes after sending Kedron off to go hunt down and kill Iris...

[Host, what do you think you're doing?]

"It's exactly what I said I was doing, I want Iris dead."

[... Have you gone mad again host?]

"Again? Oh you must mean from the previous life... nah, I'm fine."

[Do you not want to return back to earth then?]

"I do, my goal still hasn't changed."

[Then you should know that Iris is a crucial part of the story and can't afford to die. Please tell me why you sent someone out to kill her.]

"Hmm? Do you not know why? Why don't you use that data and statistics of yours, whatever you call it, to find out why."

[I have, but I can't seem to come up with a conclusion.]

"Then don't worry about it then, just know that no matter what I do, it's all for the sole purpose of returning back to earth."

[...]

[I understand, since the host has confirmed to be sincere, I will not interfere, but please keep in mind that no matter what the outcome might be, Iris cannot die.]

"No need to worry." Ronald nonchalantly said and then stood up from the couch, grabbed a pair of binoculars, and then quickly went back to the hospital.

***

"Okay Miss Iris, so since you've had about 23 bullet wounds throughout your entire body, we've stitched up all of the bullet wounds so that you don't end up dying of blood loss. However, since we couldn't spare any time to remove the bullet shells currently lodged in your body, nor did we have any time to try and fix some of the less important damaged internal structures in your body, you'll still feel immense amounts of pain even though we've administered for you pain killers, but please bare with it for now. Also, do you want to ask us any questions while we're waiting for the blood transfusion to finish?" The dean asked while the surgeons behind him were still frantically running around getting ready to prepare another surgery on Iris.

"W-where's the Young Master?" Iris asked in a hoarse voice while blankly staring at the ceiling.

"Young Master Kuangge? I'm not quite sure actually, according to eye witnesses, after he had left this room with his friend, he had apparently saw a couple of his other friends down across the hallway, but nobody could really tell who his other friends were since everyone was too busy getting ready for your surgery instead. Now that I think about it, I should've forced him to pay extra for the labor fees as well to fix that hole in the wall." The dean couldn't help but get grumpy just thinking about it.

The moment everyone in the hospital had decided to keep their eyes off of Ronald for just a brief minute, he's gone ahead and somehow managed to blow a hole in the wall.

If Ronald wasn't the son of the Kuangge family, the dean would've honestly given him a mouthful of hateful words.

But sadly since Ronald was apart of the upper class society, he had to keep his mouth shut and swallow in the pain.

"H-hole in the wall?" Iris's eyes widened up after hearing what the dean said and slowly turned her head towards him.

"Yeah, I heard that kid causes trouble everywhere he goes, but goodness gracious I didn't think that it could get this bad." Unaware of Iris's feelings towards Ronald, the dean spoke what was on his mind.

However, he had almost instantly regretted doing that since Iris had started to go absolutely crazy and tried to get off the operating table, forcing all of the staff to immediately stop what they were doing and pin her down.

"I'LL KILL YOU ALL! GET OFF OF ME!" Iris hollered loudly, and tried to get off of the operating table.

But since there were over 10 surgeons and nurses pinning her to the table with their dear lives, it was extremely hard for her to do so.

Nevertheless, she was still somehow slowly overwhelming them with her strength alone.

"WHAT'S WITH HER STRENGTH? QUICKLY TRANQUILIZE HER NOW!" The dean hurriedly shouted.

"WE'VE ALREADY DID SO, BUT SHE'S NOT CALMING DOWN AT ALL!" The nurse stated in a panicked manner.

"THEN ADMINISTER MORE DRUGS TO CALM HER DOWN!" The dean replied back.

Just as the dean was expecting a reply back from the nurse however, an unfamiliar voice could be heard instead.

"I'll calm her down for you, no, in fact, I'll put her down for you." Kedron, who had entered the operation room, stated calmly and then immediately hurled his dagger directly towards Iris's head.

Since Iris could feel that the dagger was going straight towards her, she quickly mustered all of her strength to push the doctors away, and then swiftly hopped off of the operating table, causing the dagger to just barely miss.

Afterwards, she quickly grabbed the dagger off of the table and went into a battle stance.

"You've managed to dodge that attack? That's great! It would've been boring if you had just died like that!" Another dagger then appeared in Kedron's hands seemingly out of nowhere.

"WHERE'S SECURITY? GET THIS MA-" Just before the dean could finish his sentence however...

"No need for insects to get in the way of our battle." Since Ronald had told him to limit the amount of casualties as much as possible, Kedron suddenly disappeared from thin air, causing everyone to scan around the room.

And after a few seconds of scanning around the room trying to find where Kedron had disappeared off to, just as everyone though that he was completely gone, the light suddenly turned off.

Immediate afterwards, the lights flickered back on again.

The difference this time was that the only two people present in the operation room was now only Iris and Kedron.

"If you give up now, I might just give you a painless death." Kedron pointed his dagger directly at Iris and said in an atrocious tone.

"..." Iris didn't say anything at all but stood still just staring at Kedron with eyes that emitted pure hatred.

"So that's how it's going to be then? How wonderful." Kedron stated with a evil grin on his face.

Afterwards, Kedron disappeared out of thin air once again, and then reappeared right infront of Iris, at which point, he had used an extremely quick powerful slash towards her.

To his surprise though, Iris had managed to block his slash.

But since the slash was so powerful, it had caused Iris's body to fly against the wall behind her, leaving a crack on the wall.

Seeing as how tired and injured Iris looked, Kedron assumed that as long as he could get a couple of more hits in, then he'll be able to kill her.

So with that in mind, he had shifted all of his focus from strength to speed and started to repeatedly slash towards Iris in a manner so fast that it looked like he was attacking using multiple hands.

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

No matter how fast Kedron had been swinging though, Iris had managed to block most of his attacks.

"This room is too small! There isn't enough space in here!" Kedron complained as he took a step back, and afterwards...

"Explode."

"...!" The moment Iris had heard the word that came out of Kedron's mouth, Iris immediately looked down at the dagger she was holding and noticed that it had started to glow up.

Before she could throw away the dagger however...

BOOM!

An explosion that was much bigger than the explosion that Ling Feng had created before suddenly errupted, leaving the entire room exposed to the outside world.

Luckily since the hospital wasn't near any public areas, and is instead isolated just far enough away to where the rest of society won't hear the explosion, Kedron didn't have to worry about anyone noticing his presence here besides the hospital staffs, in which he could just easily silence them whenever he wanted to.

"What a shame, I wanted to at least feast on some of her organs, but since he wanted it to be done quickly, it can't be helped." Kedron stood at the edge of the remains of the operation room and sigh.

While he had been blankly staring at the outside however, he suddenly realized something.

Despite the fact that there should've been at least the remain of some organs, body part, or even blood in Iris's body scattered somewhere outside, he couldn't find any at all.

"..."

"An insect, that I could've easily killed with just a lift of a finger..."

"MANAGED TO ESCAPE FROM ME?"
