Dragon God 6

Before you even really realized what you were doing, you pulled one of the empty lacrima from your Requip space and began storing the residue magic the dragon's charred and flaking remains were giving off.

Bit by bit, small dots of black lit began to fill the clear orb, congregating and swirling together like a whirlpool that ever so slowly expanded over the course of a few moments, until the once clear orb was pitch black.

And not a moment too soon, because just as the lacrima filled up fully, the remains of the dragon fully flaked away and blew away in the wind.

For a few moments you just stared at the lacrima, pulsing with the power of darkness. Second generation Dragon Slayers were well documented. Especially because God Serena was known to collect dragon lacrima to implant within himself, and was the reason why he was the strongest mage on the contintent.

A god slayer and a dragon slayer huh? A dragon god, despite the situation, a little smile tugged at your lips. You kinda liked the sound of that.

"Looks like a darkness dragon lacrima," the familiar voice of the pink haired woman spoke up behind you, the sound of boot walking over stone sounding in your ears, "That could be really powerful. The old boss of Oraceon Seis used plain old dark magic and he was easily on the level of the Wizard Saints."

That you already know about. You used to guard over Oraceon Seis at times, your favourite of the bunch to talk to were Cobra and Angel, or Sorana as she told you her real name was. They told you quite a bit in your time with them. "I know." you replied simply.

"I suppose you would Cobalt," she responded, she peaked over your shoulder and looked at the gem in your hand. Interesting, she knows who you are, "Want me to implant it in you?" the bubblegum haired girl asked.

"Why are you helping me?" you asked instead of answering her question. Sure it was possible she knew you from the recordings of your demolition of Twilight Ogre, but it felt like there was more to it.

She twirled around to your front to face you and smiled brightly, "I suppose you could say I owe Fairy Tail a decent bit, me and my friends," she tapped her chin, "I suppose it's only polite to introduce myself right? My name is Meredy, formerly of the guild Grimoire Heart."

..Huh. That, you didn't expect.

She wasn't that much older than you by the looks of it, a few years, two or four at the most. She would have been what? Between nine and twelve? You couldn't really fault a child for being pulled into something like that.

You staunchly ignored the fact you were a Rune Knight by nine yourself. Plus, she did save your life when you were acting like a complete dumbass. So some trust in her was warranted at this point.

"My name's Cobalt, but you already know that," you replied. You debated internally for a moment before shrugging and lifting the dragon lacrima up, "If you want to help me, I won't stop you. It'll save me time if you can just put it in right now."

Meredy giggled, taking the lacrima out of your hand gently, "Well I'm the one who works as the healer in my guild, I learned how to do this because the magic for it can be quite handy," the pink haired girl smiled brightly, before pressing her hand and the lacrima against your chest, "Brace yourself, this is pretty high quality stuff and filled with the power of a dragon at that. It's going to sting a bit."

Then before you could ask what she meant by that - having never needed to get a lacrima implantation yourself - her hand shimmered with magic power, before phasing through your chest and sinking inside of you. "GKH!" you grit your teeth to stop yourself from moaning like a little bitch in pain as agony rippled through your body, and felt as your magic container spasmed.

As soon as it started it was done, and you relaxed a bit, sweat dripping from your brow as Meredy pulled her hand from your chest, and you felt the darkness dragon lacrima meld with your ethernano container.

"There ya go, easy peasy," Meredy chirped, dusting her hands off, "Give it a few minutes to merge with your existing magic container and you should be fine to use it."

"Gah " you grunted as a sudden searing pain assaulted you. Your eyes sharpened, everything becoming crisper with a sudden clarity you never noticed before. Smells becoming more potent, your skin very skin tingling as magical energy from the lacrima fused to you infused itself through it.

The worst of it all though, was the pain in your mouth. Your canine teeth lengthened and sharpened.

And then before you could stop it, your magic swirled up and exploded out of you. A massive raging aura of sea green infused with crackling black lightning and roaring dark flame.

"Woah!" Meredy jumped back to avoid the force it gave off with its sudden appearance.

Your arms blurred, and then black scales covered them entirely, your fingernails sharpening into thick sharp claws.

Words appeared in your head, as if by magic, "Darkness Sea Dragon God Mode...." you muttered.

"Hey hey hey!" Meredy waved her arms to get your attention and pointed down at the ground, "Reign it in! Look at what your doing!"

Clenching your fists hard, you spared a glance at the ground, and to your surprise, the ground around where you were standing was buckling from the sheer weight of your magical aura, caving downwards and creating a circular trench around your position which was getting bigger and bigger by the second.

You tried to reign in your power. But it was too wild, too powerful. You had to bleed some of it off! You angled your head towards the sky and drew in a massive breath.

"..What are you doing!?" Meredy asked in a panic, red eyes going wide.

You threw your head upwards and released the magic within you from your mouth, "Darkness Sea Dragon God's Bellow!" you bellowed.

What you released could barely even be described. It was a spiralling compressed tsunami of ebony black black sea water, with a thick cloying darkness spiralling the opposite way around it.

And it was so big you could scarcely believe it, larger and thicker than even the biggest train your family owned. The sheer power behind it tore the clouds from the sky as it passed through.

But it was enough, you dropped to one knee, panting deeply, sweat trailing down your face as the raging aura of sea green and inky black darkness receded back inside your body.

"Jeez, what insane power!" Meredy shook her head, "I know Dragneel did something similar to beat Master Hades, but I think you have him beat. I don't even know if Bluenote could have taken an attack like that, our old Jupiter Cannon would have been overpowered by it."

"....It's still not enough," you shook your head, "Compared to the power that darkness dragon put out just by existing, I'm still woefully weak. I've gotta get way stronger if I wanna take down Acnologia."

Despite that though, a grin formed on your face, "What's with the smile on your face with all that heavy depression talk?" Meredy asked with a blink.

You shrugged, you couldn't help being happy with what you'd gained today, "I might not be anywhere close to Acnologia, but I've grown massively in power thanks to that lacrima," you replied, "It's definitely worth smiling about."

"Well I suppose that's true," Meredy shrugged herself, "And it's a marked improvement over that crazy bloodlust you were letting out earlier. Your lucky Acnologia isn't interested in anything that isn't to do with dragons or Zeref or you'd probably be dead right now."

Very true, despite that though your smile didn't drop, "I'll need to keep a handle on my temper if I see Acnologia again," you replied, then bowed your head slightly in respect, "Still, thanks for bailing my stupid ass out of the fire."

Meredy waved you off, "Don't worry about it," the bubblegum haired girl chirped back with a smile, "Like I said, we owe Fairy Tail a lot."

We. She kept referring to multiple people. "Who is we?" you asked in curiosity.

"My guild, Crime Sorciere," Meredy replied, "There's only three of us right now. But once upon a time, before we clashed with Fairy Tail members, we were all deep in the darkness, it's only thanks to people from your guild that we managed to pull ourselves out of that hell. And so we've decided to fight back against the darkness, together."

Crime Sorciere huh? You'd heard of them before. Their guild mark was found all over the place, mostly left at the ruins of former dark guild bases. They'd destroyed over fifty dark guilds in the last few years. To think they were a guild of only three people. That was quite impressive.

"huh, so that's you guys? I'm impressed." you replied, nodding in respect.

"Thanks, we've been working hard!" Meredy chirped back.

"So who else is part of Crime Sorciere?" you asked, "I mean no offense, but I've never heard of you as a member of Grimoire Heart, are the other two well known at all?"

Meredy went to answer before biting her lip and stopping, "Well...he did kind of want to meet you, there's some information that would do you well to know," the pink haired older girl settled on saying, "Especially with you vowing to drag Fairy Tail back to the top, it'll attract the wrong sort of attention."

Woah, how ominous.

She shook her head before looking you in the eye, "Will you come with me?" she asked, "To meet with the other members of my guild?"

"Well I've always had trouble saying no to a pretty girl," you shrugged, "And I suppose with my new abilities, I could always eat that darkness out of you." you flirted with a wink.

"Huh, you think I'm pretty?" Meredy smiled happily, "Thanks! You're pretty cute too! I'm always around just the other two so I've not had anybody but Ul tell me that before." the innuendo flew right over her head it seems.

Still, it was a crime that a girl as beautiful as Meredy only got told she was pretty by what you assumed was an older sister figure.

"Well how are we getting there?" you asked, moving on, "Will we meet them somewhere close?"

"Eh, I'll just teleport us there," Meredy shrugged, "They're gonna be waiting at a camp near Terra Ignis, they were searching for someone at the Lycan Woods while I was checking out what was causing the commotion here."

Huh, was it a coincidence then that there was a job to pick from earlier that requested you to scare someone off from around that area? Honestly, you knocked it back because the Lycan Woods did nothing for you.

It was a massive forest dominated by Lycan Wolf packs. They were mere animals, not even magical beasts. They were big, fast and strong because their bodies were naturally enhanced with quite a bit of magic, but couldn't use that magic at all for anything, so they were generally pretty easy for any two bit mage to take down.

"Let's go then." you said. You're quite interested to see who this mystery man was as well.

"Kay, gimme your hand." Meredy replied. You did just that, holding one hand out and she slipped her smaller, dainty and soft feeling feminine hand into your own, and then you both blipped out of existence, appearing a hundred feet away, before blipping away again and again.
