On July 1st of the year 499, the 8 Great Patriarchs made a worldwide announcement.
"I, the most powerful of the 8 Great Patriarchs, pronounce in this place the preparation of the "Final War" which will begin on January 1st of the year 500.
This war will be a giant battle royale across the continent, with the aim of defining the strongest or most devious survivors of this world to take our places and thus become the new Great Patriarchs.

It is following this more than astonishing announcement that Yùichi MATO decided to do everything to become one of the new Great Patriarchs.

After the end of my speech, which was much longer than I had originally planned. Everybody was a little bit confused, nobody really knew what to do or where to go.
