Battle (Part III)

Something struck Gerome as he perceived the movement of the robot. He wasn’t entirely sure, but he suspected the weakness of the robot was its feet. Since they have long feet, he guessed it would take longer time for the Eli shield to move down to the bottom extremities, which supports the whole framework. “If it all makes sense…” he said to himself. He was hung back, deciding whether he should proceed to try out his touch-and-go plan.

“Luke, do that again,” Gerome hastily said to Lukah, finally resolved to take the chance.

“Do what?” Lukah was muddled by Gerome’s incomplete request.

“Get your men to shoot from the front. I’ll try to get it from the back.” Gerome pointed at one of the robots. “Let’s try that one.”
