Ashes of Time

This is a shameless author promoting his own novel. This is my very first attempt to writing and I hope you people will help me along the journey.

[Currently available chapters: 9] World background: It's probably the most interesting element of the novel, but the one that suffers the most as well... Why? It's just a feeling and a wild guess, to be honest. But while reading, especially in the last few chapters, it was a little forced into the reader, as if reading a wall of text about the world's history but a few intermissions added here and there to not let it looks like an actual wall of text... Anyway, aside from this the author did a good job when he gave out hints as if to remind us that "There is something more...". Character design: Although this novel is still far from creating an unforgettable character but in those few chapters that I've read, it's noticeable how the author is more into quality than quantity... A choice that I approve of wholeheartedly, to be honest. Regardless, in my opinion, there are still some margins for improvement in the characters' backgrounds... You know, to make a character look "3D", it's necessary for a certain spark to grant them a breath of life... Update stability: To be honest, I don't have the slightest idea of what to write here... Only time can give us an answer to this. Story development: For now it's going smoothly... However, it's not bad, after all, it would be quite pointless to make a plot twist when the readers have yet to make some guesses for the future... Writing quality: Competing to the novels on this platform, it can be definitely graded as above average. I found some surprising vocabulary and it's easy to follow the flow... Nonetheless, it can be improved... Considering that this is his(/her?) first novel, I didn't expect much, but the author surprised me. Anyway, overall judgment: The MC deserve death for... I won't make spoilers... I will just wait to see your comments in chapter 9... I hope many of you will join my side at that moment. PS: Even though this is a "swapped review", it doesn't mean that I made up everything, I've my principles (But more importantly, my pride... Why should a deity of writing such as myself lie in a review? That is not my style.) thus I've written purely expressing my true thoughts and giving my opinion to the author... That is all

A wonderful to be tale. If only it was prosaic and poetic, but alas - still enjoying it nonetheless. Need a big harem for our adorable MC. Always love heartwarming story high on emotions

came here from the forum. so far, from the available chapters, this looks it could be a well done fantasy if done properly. The author is taking his time slowly to set up things. The story is more like a slow poison, with a lot of mystery shrouding the world and occasional hints linking to a bigger picture. Will come back to binge once enough chapters are there. So, after completing Reverend Insanity, wanted to read a light fantasy. Went to the forum and this was the at top as a shameless promotion post lol The book is in starting stages atm. But the tone of the story looks good. The writing is also good, though I believe it will get better as you grow. Loved the prologue, loved the chaps. So I was recommended this novel on a forum and I was free, so 'why not check it out?' And here I am. The prologue is short but I loved it. The writing seems a little bit soft but it delivered the feels. The author properly set the background for the main character, labelling him as a wanderer or a free soul. This will make his adventures even more exciting if written and delivered properly. So, Mr. Author, I really have high hopes from you. Hope, you deliver it, An updated review will come when I have read 40-50 chps.

This book gave off a first good impression, the author here really did a great job author!! love your please work on some mistakes but anyways we all make mistakes, I will recommend your work ..

The writing is good and the story has a sense of mystery which always intrigue me to read further. Although Author has only released four chapters, he had already shown a lot about the magic world. Pretty good so far.

As the other comments have said, great prologue. The story seems promising so I'm certainly interested in reading more. The writing is a little awkward in places but that is to be expected. Overall, seems great.

Just read the prologue so I can't say much about it. But it looks promising, I swear. I really love MCs who ise fire powers and this feels like its going to be a classic fantasy, looking forward to it.

EXCELLENT!! The writing quality is really great, the sentences flow and the vocabulary is lucid and easy to understand. Updates are very stable. Classic hero's journey with an excellent fantasy world building. Characters so far are likeable. The story pacing is really good; the author does not spend too long in the hero's backstory at the start but rather jumps right into action where the conflict and the fantasy part is. Overall, awesome and a very promising classic fantasy. Please continue the good work, author.

The book started with a great opening and the bar never went down. A whole new world opened right before my eyes so vividly and fantasy has always been my favourite theme so I really loved it.And I must say your writing style is very pretty. [img=recommend] Keep up the good work!

I love it so far. Wonderful prose and writing style. The world-building is looking to be grand. The story flows smoothly and is easy to read. Likeable MC and other characters. I'm really looking forward to more, keep it up brother.

Amazing, a top quality novel with a good plot and an amazing grammar that made reading as smooth as water going down a river. Although some part may seem a bit forced, the best thing that I have been looking for are novels with all of the things this novel have, a fantasy background, good grammar, and a (finally)d decent plot. This is just mu humble opinion, which may change later. To Author, please keep up the good work and take all the time you need to compete a chapter.
