"Shinsuke…. Shinsuke"
"Huh"
The woman's cup is shattered as a result of the interruption.
"Are you concentrating" said Hina
"Oh dear, are you ok," said the lady as she took me." Oh my poor Shinsuke, are you alright"
" Oka-san, you are treating him like a baby" said Hina
" He is a baby, my baby, this year you're three. One day you'll grow as powerful as your father" said the lady who was my mother in my third life.
My sister felt ignored because we were both playing a board game, and my mother was distracted by seeing me. As she cradled me in her arms. As she led me down the hall, I felt her softness.
"Would you like to accompany me, Hina?" my mother asked my sighing sister.
"Can someone please clean up this mess?" she asked, motioning to a maid.
A maid working as a front-of-house waitress rushed over to clean up the mess. As I was being led away, I realized that this world is better than the previous one.
I've been awake for three years in this strange new world. This felt like Japan, but it wasn't. Looking at the people's clothing, it appears that I am in the Meiji era, but the year is 770. This planet had two moons and a sun that was bluer and brighter than a normal sun. The people here were magical in some ways. At the age of six, each of them possessed a special ability to control nature through the use of their weapon.
There were various types of attributes, with earth, air, fire, and water being the most important. Plant, steel, poison, and Beast magic are among the other attributes. Each power is chosen by the individual. Commoners primarily used earth, water, and plants to cultivate farming, whereas warriors primarily used fire and steel. Air and light are rare and are only used by scholars, priests, and shamans.
Each weapon a person possesses is associated with a power, but the most rare and forbidden is a power that no one would attempt to possess.
The power of Akuma, possessed by demons. It's not just a forbidden power, but a power described in the scriptures of people before this era as the most forbidden and strongest power. Saints described it as a power that would bring both chaos and good to the world. Because the power was unknown to everyone, no one was particularly interested in it.
For me, I was curious not only about what my power would be, but also about Akuma's power.
As I confronted the realities of my new life. A lot of things happened, including the discovery that I have an elder sister named Hina, who is always clingy to me despite her irritation when others love me. As we were walking, Hina asked me forcefully if she could carry me, and my mother, who couldn't stand up to her daughter's request, gave me to her. Her facial expressions changed when she saw me and she began kissing me. In today's world, she'd be referred to as a brocon.
Hina, who is not my blood sister, was the daughter of a friend of my mother who was my father's concubine while her mother was giving birth. My mother took the infant and raised her with me and my siblings after she died.
Mother is a shaman who used the power of air to heal people; because of her beauty, she was adored by men and even the king. He once attempted to make her his queen, but she had no intention of marrying the king. She was attracted to General Ichiro Yamamoto, and the two became acquainted and married within three months.
So, along with my mother and sister, as well as my brothers who were born from the generals' side, I now live in the House of Yamamoto. However, as we began our new lives, more dangers arose as the days and years passed. The kingdom of Hoderi faced heavy wars, and Amida were our main adversaries, and the general was always kept busy because there was always success in winning wars.
While waiting for news of Hoderi's ninth victory, my siblings and I were drinking tea. My spine tingled from a cold shiver. Something terrible may occur, but I don't care as long as I survive this era.
"Yuki, could you please grab my shawl? I'd like you to take Shinsuke and Hina for a walk," my mother asked my personal maid.
The maid understood the order and carried me to a man-made lake with Hina following us to relax and rejuvenate. I could feel the coolness of the sea breeze inside. The sea was close to the lake, and a breeze blew through the halls of the house, and despite being held with the maid, I could feel the coldness.
People stared at me and murmured as I walked, which scared me. This is because I was an outlier; I was born on February 29th and grew greyish-white hair instead of black hair. I was uneasy, but Hina dashed off, scolded the crowd, and ordered the guards to punish them. Despite the fact that I was saved by my sister, I was terrified and indicated that I wanted to return to my house.
After a while, we returned to the lounge, where my mother were occupying herself by reciting some verses.
While we waited, I noticed Hina with another girl; the princess was being summoned. She had come to see Hina, and they were both playing. She was shaking and terrified. I approached the princess and smiled at her. I was sitting next to my sister, who was playing cards with the princess.
"It's your turn," Hina announced. When the princess did not respond, she said again, But she was muffled and waiting for my father, the king, to return from his war with my father. It's now your turn.
"Oka-san," my sister complained, as if I could sway the princess's attention.
"Hina, don't worry, princess is feeling down," mother said sharply.
Yuita, my sixteen-year-old Eldest brother, smiled. "Would you like me to play?"
I approached her as well and yelled, "I'm the same way! Me, too!"
"Yes," she said with a smile, and his laughter echoed through the empty corridors. I cast a glance at them, and perhaps because we were so close, I could tell what she was thinking. My brother, who was the fiance, consoled the princess, who was kept in our house for safety.
"I'm sure nothing will happen," he said quietly. "We never lose a war."
"How would you react as a slave if Amida's army was approaching?"
"I'm not sure! However, as the next in command, I and your fiance will protect you all "With a sad expression, he said. As the maid called her back to the palace, the princess hugged. We sat on the lounge after the Princess was escorted, killing time while mother prayed.
After a few hours, as the sun began to set, my mother finally looked in our direction after returning to prayers, when the sound of soldiers slapped through the halls.
"Everyone, please return!" she yelled.
We abandoned our game and huddled beneath the "What? "What is it?" my mother inquired.
"A soldier unit!" exclaims the maid.
"Who are these guys?"
"Your husband," one of the Maids exclaimed. I'd never seen her cry in the twenty years she'd been with us. When she shut the door, however, I noticed her cheeks were wet. "They're on their way with some bad news, My Lady, and I'm afraid—"couch, but only her maids were present.
"Don't say anything!" My mother briefly closed her eyes.
"Simply tell me," she says. "Has a safe house been constructed?"
The other wiped away her tears and nodded. "The palace's final valuables are being transported inside. And... the pyre was built exactly as you requested."
While my brother said, I took Hina's hand in mine "Our father has no reason not to retaliate. If he fights, he stands to gain everything."
We both looked to our mother, Yukihara, the iron Lady of the kingdom. She was always faithful and always supported the kingdom. When someone knocked on the door, she tensed.
Despite the fact that this was exactly what we had been waiting for, my mother hesitated before speaking, instead looking at each of her children in turn. We were unsure what to do, but Yuita had inherited the general's position if he died.
"Whatever the news is, keep quiet," mother told us, and I held my breath when she said, "Come in," firmly.
My father's regiment soldier appeared. He reluctantly looked her in the eyes.
"What is it?" she demanded. "Do you believe it's the master?" "Please assure me that he is not injured."
"No, My Lady," said the soldier.
My mother clutched the necklace around her neck in relief.
"Your army , however, has declined to fight, and Amida's warriors will arrive by nightfall."
Yuita screamed, "Cowards!"
I covered my lips with my palm as Hina took a deep breath.
"Has our entire army gone rogue?" His voice grew louder.
"How about the queen?" says the princess.
The soldier said, "She committed suicide after hearing the king was assassinated by the enemies."
"Where is the princess, where's my wife?" the angry Yuita inquired.
"She has been taken by our army soldiers to the main shrine and is being escorted safely, where she will be secure," the soldier said.
The young soldier rose to his feet. "There is still hope because four barracks are on their way—"
"Will four keep Amida's entire army at bay?" Yuita exclaimed.
"There is no time to panic, son; we must act immediately," mother said.
"Yes," my brother said.
"Should we be escorted and accompany the princess?" Hina asked.
"No, we won't be safe," my mother demanded.
"Yes," Yuita said as he directed the troops. "Send a letter asking for the princess to be boarded somewhere else. The kingdom is in ruins."
As the soldier's eyes widened, I began to whimper next to me.
According to my brother, "Order your remaining troops
Hina and I shared a look with our mother. Would she answer our father's call? Would we band together to fight Amida's army? to keep the barracks full"
As she spoke, her lower lip quivered. "Inform the general that we are no longer alive."
As I gasped, Yuita screamed angrily, "Mother, no!" Our mother's gaze, on the other hand, cut across the room.
"What will Father think?" Hina exclaimed.
"He'll think there's nothing for him to come back for." My mother's tone had changed to a more stern one. "He is leaving this kingdom to save himself."
The soldier took a deep breath and weighed his options.
"What is Lady's plan?" the soldier inquires.
My eyes welled up with tears, but pride kept me from crying. Only children cried, and I was already trembling.
"We're going to join the medical where the enemies won't touch us, but it's risky now, so we should go to the rose garden palace where there's a passage to flee this palace,"
As they enter the enemy side, an amoured person removes his helmet. Tajiri Nomura, the Amida's king, imagined himself marching into Hoderi palace and taking the palace's treasure.
My intelligent brother, on the other hand, ordered "I'm going to burn everything down before I let him touch anything! soldiers, Please prepare an escape vehicle to accompany my family as we leave as soon as possible!"
The soldier rushed to obey, but servants were already fleeing the palace halls.
