CH:10 The Sword of Tengu

Once we got back to the lair the first thing we did was inform Master Splinter of what happened. Then Donny went to his lab clearly deep in thought. I decided to follow him, far too full of curiosity to ignore. With the other turtles right behind me I hear Mikey speak up.

"Yo, what was with that crazy sword? And how did it do that radical blast thingy?" He wonders out loud as he scratches his head.

"I don't know Mikey but I'm going to do my best to find out. The metal alloy of the blade was unlike anything I have ever seen." Donny more or less mumbles the end.

"That's probably because that metal was brought here from my kind, but how they got their hands on it is beyond me... Whoever 'they' are." I state very matter-of-factly with a straight face. This gets all the attention from the turtles as they look at me with wide eyes.

"What do you know of this sword, Ying?" Asks Leo with a hint of coldness in his voice.

"I don't know anything about the sword itself, but I do know that the metal they used to make the sword is the same metal we use for our FTL engines. That single piece of metal has enough power in it to run a colony ship for a century." I state the facts with a straight face.

This make the turtles eyes go wide as they realize the power that is now in our enemy's hands.

"Wow! We really messed up, bros." Mikey says as he practically deflates.

"Ya think!" Yells Raph

"Do you know anything else, Ying?" Asks a curious Donny.

I look down, pondering all the information I know for everything else that's helpful. "I could sense the familiar power of my people's technology the moment I saw it, but it's worn out a bit compared to the rest of my kind's tech so it's been a long time since its been forged. Unfortunately that's all I know." I pointed out.

"That enough to narrow down the search!" Donny says excitedly as he turns around on his chair and starts typing madly away on his home-made computer.

"What do you mean, Donny?" Leo asks a bit confused.

Without stopping he explains, "Well, now we know that we are looking for an ancient sword with what could be known as Mystic powers." Donny says with a smile. "Hopefully it won't take too long to find what we're looking for." He says slightly nervously as he continues to type away.

After that we all left Donny to his work and went into the main chamber of the lair. I stop and glance around to see what the turtles are up to. Mikey goes straight to the couch and turns on the TVs. Leo wondered off to talk to Splinter, and Raph went to the punching bag. 'Bingo' I think to myself as I approach Raph.

"Hey Raph, would you mind helping me with some training?" I ask and he stops mid punch.

"Sure thing, squishy." He says while he turns around with a smirk on his face.

"Squishy?" I ask with one raised eyebrow.

"Yeah well until you get enough training to toughen up, you are a squishy." He says with that smirk getting even bigger. 'Oh I want to punch that smirk off his face.' I think to myself as a fire gets lit in my eyes.

After sparring for a few hours I started to notice that I'm getting better at dodging but I'm still not able to get close enough to land a punch on that smart ass of a face.

"Whats the matter squishy? Getting tired?" Raph asks with a chuckle, thoroughly enjoying not being the one with the anger issues for once.

'That's it. He asked for it.' I think to myself as my anger gets the best of me and I charged my fist causing my horns to start glowing very dimly. I land an incredibly fast punch to his chest, sending him flying straight across the lair and into the metal garage door putting a big dent in it from his shell. 'Fuck, I think I over did it.' I think as I rush over to Raph, but what I heard almost stopped me in tracks.

As raph shakes his head he mumbles to himself "What a woman." Making my face turn bright red.

I slowed my pace down as I walk up to him and extend my hand offering to help him up. When he took my hand I pulled him to his feet with ease as it takes a bit for my power to fade away saying, "Sorry Raph, I got a bit carried away."

"It's all good, Ying. At least now I know that you can carry your own weight but I think Leo is right, you shouldn't be so dependant on your power." He says with a smile as his eyes shine bright gold.

After that master Splinter approachs me asking for me to follow him into his dojo for a word.

"Sit and indulge in some tea with me", He jesters towards a lowered table with two cushions on either side. So I take my seat across from him as he gathers what he needs for tea, carrying the teapot itself with his tail since his arms were full. Once he finally got the tea all situated, he finally says while pouring my cup, "I must admit I find myself quite curious about your people."

"I'll tell you what I can remember but I'm afraid its not much. What would you like to know?" I asked as I smile at the tea.

"What were they doing before they came to this planet?" He asks as he pours his own tea not even looking at me.

"Hmm, that is a good question. They never really talked much about it but from what I could gather I think they were honestly trying to keep balance to the universe." I pondered while picking up my tea. 'I hope this isn't made out of sewer water.' I wonder as I take a sniff of sweetness before I have a sip. "Delightful!" I couldn't help but say it out loud. I'm honestly shocked at how delicious this tea is.

Splinter smiles at me saying "I'm glad you enjoy it." As he enjoys a sip of his own. "Hmm, but as for the balance you speak of..." He takes another sip of tea before continuing. "There are two sides to every coin." he finishes while looking deeply into my eyes.

"Are you implying that my people's intentions were not pure?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm just simply pointing out that in order to truly have balance, there is both light and darkness." He finishes with another sip of tea.

As I digest his words I also enjoy my tea. I have always considered myself to be very pure of heart but the more I think of his words the more I think of my anger issues and wonder if all my people had this problem, if not worse. Concern start spreading across my face as I think that I might become corrupted in the future.

"Relax child. I do not sense any darkness within you." I heaved a big sigh hearing these words. "If you would like I could try to help train you in the Mystic Arts of the mind." He offers finishing his tea off with one last sip.

"I would greatly appreciate that, sensei!" I say full of hope as my tail start whipping back and forth from excitement.

"Heh heh, then settle down young one for this requires a calm mind." Says the master as he runs his hand over his beard tuff.

After an hour of meditation and a good headache, I stepped out of the dojo to see April and Casey walking in through the triangular door carrying some shopping bags.

Leo comes walking up to them saying, "Where were you guys? We were expecting you to beat us here." As he sticks his hand out for the keys to the Battle Shell.

Casey groaned out "shopping" as he put the keys in Leo's hand. Then head directly towards the couch to join Mikey watching TV.

April just rolls her eyes at him and asks Leo if he has seen me.

"Last I checked she was talking to Master Splinter." He says.

Upon hearing my name, I approach the two. "I'm here, what's up?" I ask, feeling really curious as to why she's looking for me.

"Oh good! I noticed you are wearing some really ragged clothes so I thought I would pick something up for you since you have nothing of your own." She says as she hads me the five big bags in her hand.

My eyes go wide at her offer. "T-thanks! How will I ever repay you?" I say with my warmest smile.

"Oh if you can help me try to keep these guys in line, that would be great!" She says jokingly with a chuckle. This gets a look from Leo.

With a smirk I say, "The turtles are pretty close to that line already but Casey might be a bit of a lost cause." And with that all three of us burst out laughing.

April went to help Donny with his research so Leo offered to carry my bags. He brought them to his room so I could change again while he stood outside the door.

I rummaged through the bags and I found a white lacey bra that actually fits me quite perfectly with matching underwear that kind of blend into my skin. I grabbed a crop top t-shirt thats black and purple tie dye and tight white jeans. My favourite part of all? Black combat boots.

When I open the door this time I'm standing to the side just to be safe. This makes Leo chuckle as he is leaning on the support beam that's a couple feet in front of his door. When I step out from his dark room his chuckle stops and his eyes widen as a "...damn" is mumbled under his breath.

I couldn't help but tease him asking "You like?" As I strike a bit of a sexy pose.

He gulps hard as his face goes a few shades darker. "Y-you... T-this... J-just wow! This look really suits you." He finally stammered out.

"Eureka! We found it!" We all hear Donny shouting so everyone rushed to his lab.

"What it is Donny?" Asked Leo straight to the point with no signs of his earlier flustered moment.

"We found the sword! It's called the sword of Tengu, and it's said that it wheeled untold power and can also help the user locate other mystical artifacts."

"Aw, shell!" Yells Raph as he kicks Donny's desk.
