lost in fairy land.

The warm sunlight shines on me from between the tree as I lazily wonder down the trail of the woods taking in the beauty of the unfamiliar flora and fauna. this is my second month here visiting my Aunt in Wales. a hedge hog wonders across the path and I follow it observing it going about its day taking cute videos and pictures. when i look up i realise i can nolonger see the trail but i figure its not that far and i can easily find it again when a ring of beautiful red mushrooms catch my attention i wonder over to inspect the fairy ring walk around its huge circumference admiring the different rich reds and bright white spots that each mushroom has i video the ring and suddenly my phone dies.

fuck I think to myself,rolling my eyes stupid phone. i look up and take in my surroundings where am I? I look at my map and compass again. how did the path disappear just like that? why does everything look different? I frown noticing the trees around me had even changed. goddamn it. I swear loudly suddenly realising what has just happened to me. I have some how crossed the fairy ring. what am I going to do, I think to myself looking around for any sign of life. Ok remember the fae and fairy rules i have read. don't eat or drink anything, don't lie, don't say thank you and most of all don't offend anyone! I remind myself gently placing my hand on my chest i sit and wait for one of them to find me.

After what is probably 30mins fairy time, a winged man towers over me.

"Hello sir my name is Lila" I curtsy low and gently "it appears I have ended up here by mistake could you please send me home?" I keep my eyes low not looking at him.

"I am sorry but I cannot send you back as the gods have chosen you" his deep sad voice. "my name is King Dracan and I am the ruler of this part of the fae realm. you my raise and look at me" he adds gently.

I gracefully straighten my back and stand tall with perfect posture. "Thank you your highness" I reply breathless as I take in the most beautiful man I have ever seen his pale blue hair was braided and hang past his waist his white skin sparkled blue and he had black dragon wings protruding from his back that sparkled blue when the light hit the scales in just the right way. His broad muscular chest was bare except for his intricate tattos that seemed to shift and move. he wore supple black pants that fit his muscular legs tightly his knee high black boots where covered in the most beautiful silver fillagree that I've ever seen.

"what have I been chosen for?" I ask politely.

"I honestly don't know this rarely happens" he shruggs. "I would like to take you back to my castle and take you to the elders to try and figure it out" he smiles.

"Thank you so much your highness I accept your offer" I smile graciously knowing I have no other options.

"I will have to hold you to get us there quickly" he states nervously taking a step towards me.

I step towards him offering my hand to him he takes it gently sending sparks through my entire body I look at our hands in amazement and then look into his sparkling sapphire eyes. "what was that?" I ask in awe of the sensation.

"I am not sure that has never happened before" he looked deeply into my eyes curiously. not breaking the eye contact while blue flames consume us he takes my other hand and I wonder what it could mean and if it was part of his magic. when the fire disappears we are in an huge elegant room decorated in blues and silvers.

"Welcome to my castle, My lady" he bows to me.

"These are my private chambers, I would like you to stay in the adjoining queens quarters until we see the elders." he declares "This is just so I can ensure your safety here" he adds quickly.

"I thank you for your thoughtfulness my king" I accept happily not wanting to be separated from him.

He turns gracefully to press a button on the wall behind him and i notice his wings are gone replaced by beautiful wing tattoos that cover his entire back. within seconds a slight, plain woman with light purple skin, ebony hair walked in and bowed deeply "Your Highness" she greets him in a deep voice.

"please take the lady to the queens quarter's and provide her with everything that she needs" he instructs kindly. "Now please wait outside My Lady will join you soon"

she turns quickly and leaves closing the door behind her silently.

He turns to me regret in his eyes "I must speak with the elders and I must know you are safe" he bends taking my hand and kissing it. he meets my eyes as he stands not letting go of my hand "I unfortunately must ask you for a lock of hair and a drop of blood to take to the elders" he sighed materialising a glass bottle, silver box and a ornate silver knife smiling. I take the floating knife.

"I am happy to provide them as long as you swear they will not be used for any other purpose" I say softly with my eyes downcast.

" I swear to the elders that your hair and blood will only be used for the traditional ritual of the elders and not for any other purpose" he vows lifting my chin and looking deep into my eyes.

I gently select a small section of my long blond hair from the back of my head and cut it off handing it to king Dracan. He gently placed it in the silver box and placed it in his pocket. he then grabbed the glass bottle opening the lid. I prick the tip of my index finger and squeeze 5 drops into the container.

Dracan took me by surprise when he placed my bleeding finger in his mouth. The sensation makes me close my eyes and moan. suddenly his arms are around my waist and he is kissing me possessively I melt into it opening my mouth slightly and his tongue plunges in exploring my mouth gently making me moan again. he pulls away from me gently breathing heavy and his eyes sparkling as he looks deeply into mine

"Lila, I must go please don't worry about anything I will be back with answers" he looks sad again.

"I know I am safe my king, I eagerly await your return" i curtsy to again feeling him step away and the blue flames crawl up his body leaving me alone. I know what bought here now that kiss told me everything, I think to myself. I am not silly I've read many books about this I know how to act to keep myself safe, but I feel like I can be myself with him but this is necessary for now as I need to keep myself alive in this mysterious place. I move towards the door that the woman King Dracan called to look after me is waiting behind. I open it carefully so that I don't startle her.

"My Lady" she jumps up from a comfortable looking couch and bows to me. "My name is Viola I will show you to your room and serve you" she smiles at me straighting. "please feel free to ask me any questions or for anything you desire" she adds bowing again.

"Please call me Lila, and I have lots of questions for you please lead the way" I smile back liking her more.

"This way" she moves down the beautiful stone corridor as if she is floating. at the next door on the right she stops and opens it easily. we enter a dusty room with covered furniture it looks like no one has lived in here for a very long time. Viola waves her pale purple hand and the room transforms the dust covers are gone revealing beautiful lilac and silver furniture matching the walls. I stair at the room mouth wide open I make my way to the huge couch in the middle of the room. "Viola come sit with me please I have many questions as I am from the human world and know nothing" I say taking of my shoes and sitting cross legged.

"first allow me to order some food and drink from the kitchen for you what would you like?" she asked bowing her head.

"umm I am unfamiliar with the food in this realm but I will have something sweet please" I smile at her.

"would strawberry tea and cakes be acceptable" she smiles.

"yes please" I smile warmly and she walks quickly from the room. Sitting quietly I rub my feet slowly relaxing myself. This is a delicate situation and I am not sure if this is a dream or reality yet. I quietly mull over the details that I've picked up so far. I know I am not on earth or the same plain of existence anymore, I also know that the king of these lands found me himself and is apparently interested in pursuing a relationship with me. I am also certain I don't want to go back to being in the human world, This realm is way better.
