The watch on his wrist was blue-black. But there was no display on them. Everyone had the same idea that the watch must be the Academy's doing.
So they waited for another half an hour until the Knight told them to get back to the stage. Three hundred students were at the stage and everyone had a watch. Christian was still standing on the stage looking expressionless.
"Now listen!" He shouted. "These watches will display your rank as a student. As you know the are ranks use to identify adventures and Knights. These ranks start from, F-rank, E-rank, D-rank, C-rank, B-rank, A-rank, AA-rank, AAA-rank, S-rank, SSS-rank, and finally X-rank. Now it doesn't mean if you a first-year student is an A-rank you can defeat a second or third-year student who is also an A-rank. A second-year student at an A-rank can maybe fight at a draw with a third-year student at a D-rank. Now your ranks will be shown to you on your watches."
When he was done explaining. Every student's watch lighted up and then faded. On Peter's watch, it displayed a C-rank. When Ben check his rank it also displayed a C-rank. Ben was a little disappointed that he wasn't a B or A-rank because he knew that no one was his match. But he felt a little better when looking around and seeing that almost sixty percent of the people here had an F-rank and had E-rank and around fifty people had D-rank. The C-rank was not that many.
"It seems our highest this year was a C-rank." Christian said and Ben noticed that there was a little surprise in his voice. "But do not be disappointed the more training you do the higher your rank increase. Now know how long it will take you to reach a different rank all you have to do is tap the watch two times. It will show you the percentage and when you can break through."
Ben tapped his watch two times and it displayed twenty percent which met he needed another eighty percent to break through to the B-rank. Peter's watch displayed twenty-one percent. He looked toward Ben and was all smiles.
"It's just one percent. Don't get it to your head." Ben said.
"Now, this is for those who don't like to work. When you become lazy to percentage decreases." Christian said. "Now for the second part. It's another ranking. This one displays the position you are in the school. Usually, a D-rank could be number one and a C-rank could be number two. The reason is that you don't know how to fight. You may be a C-rank but a D-rank could defeat you because you don't have any battle IQ. Because you cannot fight here and display your position we will use your rank and percentage to give you your positions. Now we will also give you one week to challenge each other. If you defeat someone higher than you, you take their spot."
When he was done saying that everyone's watch lighted up again and soon faded. Peter's position was four and Ben's position was number five. Christian then asks number one to step on the stage. It was a boy who wore a gold overcoat that covered his clothes but everyone knew he was a noble. He had no weapons which met he used Magic. When he stepped on the stage he had a smile on his face showing that he was the top dog. Christian then asked the remaining top five to step on the stage. Five students were on the stage and Ben was the last Peter was on his right since he was number four. Christian then explained how things would go. The Academy had a camp area where they would stay for one week and within that week the students are to challenge themselves. After the week, they can start their studies at the Academy. Christian then told the current number one to say a few words. He stepped forward and looked down on everyone.
"I will accept any opponent." The boy said. Then he released his aura. The air felt like there was poison in the air. "But let me warn you once I am done with you you will never be the same ever again."
Ben used his identification skill on him.
[Identification skill]
Name: Ryan Long
Hp:780/780
Ability: Poison
Mana: 100/100
Rank: C-rank ( sixty percent )
Energy: 750/750
Strength:630
Stamina:547
Agility:470
Body strength:498
When it came to his base strength he was no match for Ben but his ability was the problem. Poison could kill Ben or anyone. It would kill him immediately but would slow him down. Giving Ryan the advantage. But Ben didn't care about this all he wanted was to lay low. The fifth spot was the best place for that.
[New Quest]

"Seriously system why did you give me this quest?" Ben asked the system
"The host is going to be the future hero he must stop living on his family name and must live on his name Ben Talon." The system answered the question.
"What if I don't do it?" Ben asked
[Punishment]
[All stats will decrease by half]
"Okay okay, I will do it." Ben said.
"So bro, thinking of fighting for first place?" Peter asked.
"Maybe." Ben answered
"Well, forget it I am going for the first place you can go for the second." Peter said with excitement in his eyes.
The group where then told to stand together. Then they were teleported. The group of three hundred was currently in the forest. And in front of them was a large building. It was half of the mansion they saw that the school. But in front of the mansions, there were ten large houses. The last one was the smallest while the first one was the largest. The large houses were in the top ten. And the mansion was for the rest of the group. There was no privacy in mansions but the houses had lots of privacy. The top ten were told to go to their houses. Ben went to the house that had the number five on it. When he entered, he saw that it was a two-level house with a bedroom the first in the hall and the second. There was also a small kitchen and sofa. While in the bedroom, the was a bed, a Wardrobe, a lamb beside the bed, a small bathroom too, and a chair and table in a corner. There were a lot of books on the table too.
The students were told the challenges would start tomorrow so they needed to sleep or read the books. When Ben saw the books he noticed that he had read them before he visited Peter. Peter's house was like his but everything of a little bigger. The two talked for a while before Ben left to rest. Because he knew the next day he would be challenged like crazy.
