"Oh, with this friend of yours, am I right?" She inquired, her gaze thankfully not focused fully on me this time but on the counter she was mopping with a hand towel.

"Yup." I muttered out a reply as I placed Chelsea back on the floor before walking towards the fridge to deposit the carton of drink Silas insisted I take home.

"So, it's a date or...?" She trailed off in hope of me filling up the blank spaces.

"Not a date, a hospital outing." I informed her.

She stopped what she was doing to look at me for a few seconds before redirecting her attention back to the counter she was wiping off.

"What's wrong?" She demanded.

"Nothing really, just me trying to check my stomach." I explained to her, her eyes falling on my last few words.

"When you'd refuse to eat every time." Mum reminded me, a hurt look on her beautiful face, one which should never grace her face, and one which should never be caused by me.
