"I suppose the increase in sectorial and clan patrols I saw along my journey back is due to this issue, yes?" Marcius asked the military advisor of his council.


"Yes," Ser Janus confirmed. "The process to build more guard posts along the major roadways will be a very long and complicated endeavor. Thus, we needed to solve this issue by other means first. And since the Aemilia clan itself has not mobilized yet to eliminate this bandit threat, our sector can only send out patrols. I was waiting for your return to make the final decision."


Marcius looked at his mother with a questioning gaze.


"Your grandfather has expressed his… desire to let you and the sectorial forces handle this matter." Lady Aemilia replied slowly. "Our clan's main troops are now currently busy with the process of stabilizing and maintaining peace within Mediolan."


"Of course, he did," Marcius huffed out.
