The Goddess’s Fury

Marcius had to pause for a while to make sense of what Sol had just told him to do.

'I am sorry, Azot. But I think the goddess had said to burn away her followers?'

'No, your hearing was not mistaken. She did say something along the lines of that.'

Marcius coughed a little as he finished conversing with his spirit beast inside his head.

"I am sorry, goddess. But I think you just told me to 'burn them.'" Marcius asked for confirmation and Sol nodded back.

"Indeed, I did."

"Bu… but, great goddess! Marcius could not do that!"

This time, it was the voice of Marcius's master that echoed around the chamber.

"Why not?" Sol tilted her head as she focused on the wooden totem at the center. "The people of the Flavic village were my followers. And I am giving my champion permission to destroy the village. I think it is fair."
