It was after the next two days that Marcius finally had a chance to meet with Lady Sabbargh in private after all the mess with the Nkrumah family. Sati, Atem, and Nathenial also opted to stay back with the village chief and help her stabilize the situation back in the Flavic village.


This time, Dina Sabbargh had come to the sector to personally meet with him. And judging by the look on the lady's face at the entrance of the mayor's office, Marcius could more or less guess that he would not be enjoying certain parts of this meeting.


After all, his little power play after the duel might or might not have put the already shaky position of Lady Sabbargh in more trouble. He had not forgotten about it, and chances were that Lady Sabbargh would also not.


He knew the consequences and had made the hard decision anyway. And Marcius would gladly accept the repercussions for his actions if it meant those actions guaranteed the safety of his family and clan in the future.
