Marcius Aemilia was killed during a duel because his opponent cheated by using a vicious poison.

Fortunately, he was resurrected by an outer god with an agenda.

Agreeing to be the god's agent within his homeland, Marcius was now back with a vengeance and dedication to save his family and clan from their unjustified demise.

But wait. He was not alone.

Along with Marcius, came the soul of Joseph Redwoods, who had read all the future events of Marcius's world from the pages of a novel.

The Revenant King of Rubrum

"What exactly happened?" Marcius asked as he and Toros walked through the long hallway of the mansion and toward his office. "I thought the issue with the bandits is slowly getting under control."


"That was what most of us assumed as well. But it seemed that we were tricked unknowingly." Toros answered but was cut off when Marcius stopped at the entrance leading to the outside compound.


Marcius flicked his hand and the wolf demon beast inside his familiar ring leaped out. The beast turned to his master as if sensing that Marcius was currently upset.


"Go and wait for me at the stable. I have some of the staff from there ready with armor for you." He commanded.


Cloud yelped lowly and nodded his head. After that, the demon beast slowly turned and headed toward where the stable was located within the mansion's compound.


Marcius started walking again after letting his familiar out.
