The Revenant King of Rubrum

Despite being one of the three recognized dukedoms of the empire, apart from the central territories under the direct rule of the royal family, the northern dukedom of Farnese had pretty different situations from the others.


Due to the geopolitical situation of the current Solas empire, and since its second founding, the other two dukedoms had enjoyed a relative sense of safety and peace compared to the northern territories under the rule of the Farnese duke.


The terrain surrounding the dukedoms in the east and south were the mountain ranges and the Red Sea itself. Thus, those two dukedoms could be said to have a natural barrier against invasions from foreign forces as well as the sudden migration of demon beasts into their lands. But the northern dukedom could not be said to enjoy the same benefits the eastern and southern dukedoms took for granted.
