Marcius Aemilia was killed during a duel because his opponent cheated by using a vicious poison.

The Revenant King of Rubrum

Marcius looked down at the battlefield as the storm was starting to brew. Nathenial stood on top of the floating warship that was located at the front of the formation.

It was his job to start the battle by destroying the barrier that protected the fortress of the Order of Purple Sun. As soon as it was carried out, the assault would start in earnest.

Under the watchful eyes of many, the runemaster of the Aemilia clan began his work. Nathenial first summoned the short dagger he used always to control and create the runes as he fought. It was, in essence, what allowed Nathenial to effectively act as a battle runemaster.

With a small nod from Titus, the runemaster started. With the dagger, Nathenial drew numerous runic words and symbols that stayed floating in the air. All of the runes glowed with a faint yellow light. And the light grew brighter and brighter as more and more symbols joined the collective of runes.
