Marcius did not have a choice but to accept the demands of the two children of Ashuran.

It was the Eternal Flames Phoenix that convinced the Aemilia heir to accept the request from the Red Star Flacon and the Fire Drake King. She alluded that if Marcius had not accepted, her two children would not have backed off and would have approached him until he caved in. That was a special brand of stubbornness that the two spirit beasts had.

And Ashuran was not ashamed to admit that they got it from her. Marcius was starting to realize that his second spirit beast was unlike her brother in many little ways.

When the Strom Dragon King was arrogant, straightforward, and simple-minded most of the time, the Eternal Flames Phoenix was shrewd, stubborn, and prone to mischief. And she would stop at nothing to accomplish her desires.
