Storage room (2)

Chanel said as though she was stating the most obvious facts.

"But you don't have to worry about it being stolen or anyone breaking into here. Because if we kept all these things here in one place, then you should know that we would do everything in our power to provide the maximum security, by making this floor one of the most secured floors in the building".

"Alright. If you say so then I will trust your words. But if I catch anyone wielding my equipment, be sure that I will be there to make you bear the accountability for your words" Lucien became serious for the first time as he spoke.

"That won't happen Mr. Lucien. You can trust us" Chanel responded as she brought out her badge that was worn around her neck and placed it on some kind of scanner that was placed right beside the door on the walls.

Bright red light scanned through the badge before it finally changed to green as a mechanic voice sounded out.

[Name: Chanel Aubert

Rank: B-ranked Huntsman]

[Verifying….Badge identified….Authorization granted].

A loud click was heard as the metallic door opened.

Chanel walked in before turning back to Lucien saying.

"Even though my badge is enough for us to enter the storage room, you still have to get yours scanned before you enter for security purposes".

Lucien nodded his head in understanding before walking up and placing his badge on the scanner, replicating Chanel's actions.

The bright red light shone again as it scanned Lucien's badge before automatically changing to green.

[Name: Lucien Whitlock

Rank: B-ranked Huntsman]

[Verifying….Badge identified….Authorization declined].

"The advancing technologies of the organization is something that will always leave me amazed" Lucien said with some admiration in his eyes before his face scrunched up into a frown.

"You should have already expected your badge to be declined entry" Chanel said.

"Yeah, I know. But it's still depressing hearing it again".

"Alright, we have wasted enough time, let's be on our way"

Lucien walked through the doors as he followed behind Chanel.

"And I will forever be left impressed with the organization's definition of a room" Lucien said as he looked at the huge hall before him.

At this point, they were walking down the staircase as Lucien looked at the huge shelves that were several times larger and taller than him.

It looked as though everything one could find in Paris was stored here. As both Chanel and Lucien got to the ground, Lucien could see that there were over hundreds of feet tall.

"Hey, Miss Chanel".

"Yes"

"How many projects have our branch done throughout the years?" Lucien said as he looked at the several shelves that were many times taller than him.

"Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to that question Mr. Lucien, but I can definitely tell you that even before any of us were born, several research and experiments were already taking place" Chanel responded.

It took them several minutes before they arrived at their destination.

Standing in front of them was a shelve much different from the rest. If the rest of the shelves looked like something that was kept for display, then this one looked like a locker with several small compartments all over it.

"We are here Mr. Lucien"

Looking at the particularly unique large shelve which Lucien could only describe as a giant locker, he had no choice but to admit that it certainly did look safe, much safer than a vault.

"Your equipment and uniform Mr. Lucien" Chanel said.

But Lucien could only look at her with strange eyes.

"What is it? Are you going to disobey the organization's rules after you have come this far?" Chanel asked with some doubt in her voice.

"No, it's not that, but..Cough!! Cough!!!" Lucien deliberately faked a cough as he aimlessly looked around.

"But if I remove my uniform, then I will only be left in my undies. You don't want one of the most diligent organization's huntsman to walk on the street without his dignity, right?".

Chanel's eyes widened before she proceeded to close her eyes and sigh out in frustration.

"You should have said that from the beginning, we have already passed the section where clothes and other fabrics are stored. Wait here, I will be back soon".

It didn't take more than five minutes for Chanel to come back with some clothes in her hands.

In her hands was a plain black T-shirt with blue jeans and some casual shoes to match the outfit.

Handling them over to Lucien who suspiciously looked at them as he checked the clothes several times.

"Are you sure these clothes weren't used for some kinds of experiments?" Lucien asked while looking at Chanel with a frown on his face.

"You don't have to worry, it's called the storage room for a reason. Those are only ordinary clothes" Chanel replied.

"Haaa…I will return them tomorrow" Lucien exhaled in relief as his suspicions were cleared.

"You don't need to worry about that Mr. Lucien. The owners of these clothes are already dead, so I might as well move them out before they start occupying space" Chanel said with a thin smile on her face.

"You!!" Lucien who was already removing his uniform paired immediately as he looked at Chanel in shock.

"Giving me a dead man's cloth. I never knew that you were so spiteful".

"That's because I'm not Mr. Lucien. Are you going to wear the clothes or risk letting your dignity be degraded as you parade through the streets?"

"Fine, I will wear them" Lucien gritted his teeth as he removed his trousers, now standing clad in only his undies.

"Inform me when you are done" Chanel who saw that Lucien had taken off the other half of his clothes, turned around as she didn't want to see what was beneath all those layers of clothes.

"I'm done" Lucien's voice sounded out as Chanel turned her face back only for her to exclaim in embarrassment.
