Talking things out (2)

"Yes, I don't. Whatever that witch did, she didn't seem to hold back" Lucien said, shaking his head in defeat.

"Well, she wouldn't have called the witch of illusion and deception if she had failed, right?" Lyam responded with a chuckle.

"How can laugh at a time like this?' Elliot said as he glanced at his comrade.

"Why won't I laugh when I find the situation hilarious? We were in the presence of the witch of illusion and deception, an A-ranked witch. And yet we didn't even know" Lyam replied.

"And what I had found funny was because I wondered what could have happened if she had joined him in overpowering us. In other words, we are lucky to be alive. And here we are getting angry at a fellow huntsman that we had presumed had attacked us of his own free will after getting his mind controlled by some witch".

Elliot frowned as he looked at Lyam.

"Yes, you are right, it is quite irritating that there was a possibility of us not getting out of there alive" He said.
