Chapter 257: her vacant eyes

Emily's POV

I found myself a little corner by the bathroom floor and I laid down there…just laid down there, on the cold floor.

Even though I didn't want my mind to wander, it did.

It wandered so far and wide that getting myself to stop thinking was harder than pulling out a wisdom tooth.

I laid there and my mind wandered and I stared at the ceiling.

I didn't even know I was crying until the tear dropped and rolled down to my ear, I didn't know I was crying until my lips started trembling and my eyes became real cloudy.

I didn't know I was crying until the sadness made my heart heavy and breathing almost impossible. I didn't know I was crying until the door opened and Eloise entered.

I saw the look on her face. It hasn't been there for some times, not since she became Luna…not since she became Fanny.
