I watched him.
His grief seemed...real, as fucked up as that was. It felt genuine.
"Well, she loved you" I reminded him sadly.
"I know" he blinked and tears fell down his cheek again. He didn't wipe it either. We simply watched each other.
"I loved her too. In a way, she was my mom too. Elias was my dad too and the twins like you said, I was there for their birth. I planted that tree over there to commemorate their birth. I loved them all...I really loved them all"
"Yet twenty years later, you drove a dagger into their hearts, Lucious"
He looked at me. The monster in him awakening. His eyes pinpointed and narrowed as darkness descended over the very thing that made him human.
He moved threateningly towards me, the glimpse of that six year old boy he once was disappeared instantly...just in a flash.
