Chapter 12: Sect Manual

Ryoto was the one to open the door, and as soon as they entered, a series of sconces lit up illuminating the room.

The house was quite big, on the very left was a small sort of kitchen with a four banal, and a long table right next to it. In front of that equipment was the dining table, and right on the right were three chairs placed in front of a bonfire. and straight in front were three doors, the middle being the bathroom, and the left and right being Ryu and Ryoto's rooms.

"I'll go and check on my room," Ryoto said in an excited tone.

"Yeah, I'll do that do,"

Ryu entered his room and on the left corner was his bedroom on the right was a chair and a desk with a pile of papers, and a small pot with ink inside on the desk. Right beside him stuck to the wall and near the door was a wardrobe with several of the sect's uniforms,"

Ryu walked to his bed and saw a book on it. He lifted it and opened the book to check what it was about. He quickly realized it was the sect manual that the two disciples were talking about.

"I'll read it later, for now, what I need is a good bath," Ryu said smelling his stinky armpits.

Once Ryu had a shower, he came back to his room wrapped in a loincloth around his waist. He sit on his bed and reached for the sect manual. The book cover was blue with no name written on it. It wasn't that large, but it was still quite impressive to see.

"Alright, let's start reading," Ryu said opening the book on the first page.

The first page gave a thorough index of the different points in the book.

"Hmmm, this one seems interesting, page 61, respect and communication,"

There was a paragraph in bold on the page that said:

[Respect is earned by climbing up the ranks of the sect, meaning the higher ranked you are, the more respect you will earn in the sect. Additionally, there are manners in which you must speak to a higher rank. Never address a higher ranked than you by their name, always address them by their rank and address yourself by your rank as well. Nevertheless, if you are of the same rank, but your brother has a higher realm than you, then you are allowed to call him by his name, however, you must name him by elder brother "name"

This shows that you truly respect your superior. Furthermore, you are not allowed to abord conversation with a brother or sister 6 ranks above you. Breaking this rule permits the disciple you disrespected to lock you up, or even execute you if they have a large influence in the sect]

"So that's why they were respecting Hina and not me..." Ryu whispered, "I thought they were just sick fucks trying to get a shot at Hina in bed,"

Ryu spent the rest of his night reading the manual and learning many things about the sect. He had just found out that the new arrivals in the sect, will need to spend a lapse of 9 months with a teacher who will help them improve and show them the right way to act in the sect.

Furthermore, he learned that hanfu cloaks are only distributed to Profound Masters and above. The school was separated into two sections, the normal-ranked called The Clido, and the higher-ranked called the Medo.

From the moment a disciple reaches the title of Profound trial Master, then he is welcome to live in the higher-ranked. The titles below live in the normal-rank

There was also another thing that had caught Ryu's attention, and that was the cultivator's currency. This currency that cultivators used was called bolts. From what Ryu read, one bolt costs 10 gold coins.

The only way to win bolts is through quests that can be taken from the adventurer hall in the center of Clido. With bolts, you will be able to purchase items in the sect shops and the Proria market.

The Proria Market was the main market cultivators went to purchase items to enhance their ability or help them break through a cultivation stage. People from every sect go there and to prevent any quarrels in the market, a rule stating that if two disciples are caught quarreling, then the sects the disciples are from will be banned from the market for life.

This rule has worked very well because each sect is scared of losing such a valuable place where they might find the rarest items if they are lucky.

In the market, items such as enhancing plants, healing plants, teleportation artifacts and even sealing artifacts are found. This makes the place very diverse in terms of things to buy attracting more and more cultivators every year.

"Dual Cultivation?" Ryu murmured.

This was the last section that Ryu had to read, Dual Cultivation.

[Dual Cultivation is a method of enhancing one person's qi through sexual interaction. This method benefits both individuals and can help break through stages of cultivation. It can also help in body refinement too.

Dual Cultivation is very effective, however, this method is strictly prohibited in the sect. For, this may force people to fornicate, more than train to breakthrough stages. This rule is only allowed for married couples in the sect that have been together for more than 5 years.

Nevertheless, it is not prohibited to be in a relationship with another sect disciple as long as sexual interaction is not involved.]

"Damn... so that was the last section huh?" Ryu sighed, "this book was longer than I expected. I'm getting tired, plus tomorrow I have to wake up early for this school thing,"

[Meanwhile in the Council]

3 individuals were in a large chamber in which there was a half-circle-shaped table. On the table, there were 5 chairs, where 3 were already filled. In front of the table was a small stage, and on the other side of the room was a large door entrance of more than 10 feet

"I can't believe someone that just joined the sect was already transferred to Council Master,"

A young and manly voice said, he was a redhead with red eyes and looked very much like Ryoto with only a few aspects that made them different.

"Don't be so negative elder brother Joshin," A beautiful small woman, with long black hair that reached her ankle replied. She wasn't more than 5ft in height and had a squeaky but cute voice.

"What do you think of the situation elder sister Sakine?"

She was speaking to a woman with a serious expression and a bolt coin in her hand. This woman had light brown with white highlights hair color, and her eye color was brown.

"Ayaru is right Joshin, with another Council Master, we are now at an equal level with the other sects. Now, we just have to wait to see how powerful this Hina really is..."

Each of these members formed the strongest disciples in the Hijima Cultivation Sect. These people were the Council Masters of the Hijima Sect Cultivation.
