PERCY POV
This so BORING
I am flying to Ambrogio's location and while I am flying to North Dakota from my perspective it's taking way too long.
No, I know why Goku learned Instant Transmission.
Flying everywhere is freaking boring
I look down at Circe who has mostly calmed down at this point
"How's the ride?" I asked mockingly
She just flips me off
"Maybe later," I say while winking at her
Not gonna lie
Goddesses are hot
I think back to what I told Circe which honestly, were just my thoughts on the whole gods exist in this universe thing.
Gods are the reason for a lot of damage done to humanity
Demeter causes the seasons on a whole continent which is not determined by any rotation in the solar system.
Apollo causes sickness or at least made the original ones that evolved over time
Artemis is the reason why some women experience stillbirth or miscarriage
Ares starts up wars for his enjoyment
Aphrodite would rather break up love because she doesn't really care about it since she can't have it, so why should anyone else have it?
Hera is the reason why a lot of children with disabilities are 'discarded'
The rest are just as terrible to humans
Which brings up multiple valid questions.
Gods came before the current version of humanity so why did they truly create it in the first place?
The first humans were said to be of gold instead of iron
They were at least partial immortal and had various gifts that modern humans don't
Such as incredible skills at anything, incredible strength, speed, healing and a whole lot more.
But, I can only guess that they were either killed by the gods, or Pandora opened the Pithos that released the evils into the world.
It was also said that they were aged backward but I can only guess
Men of silver were most like my type honestly, they were hard workers but they did not pay 'respect' to the gods who knew that they were made inferior to the men of the golden age. The men of silver were made to be less wide and they began to be less beautiful.
They knew what they were robbed of and so they didn't give them respect as they deserve none. This is when they began to get sick and had to work for anything that they needed. The gold humans were treated as trash by Kronos sure but at least he didn't try to change them to be inferior.
Heck, the other Titans treated them politely which is a lot more than I can say about the gods
Fortunately, there is a primitive form of equivalent exchange that made Zeus wary of them.
Zeus took a lot of their wisdom away but in return, they received an incredible boost in intelligence
From what Chiron taught they made the original city of Atlantis and it was said to rival the beauty of Olympus itself.
Of course, the gods were jealous of it as they had made numerous advancements in everything.
So they sunk it
Now, Poseidon rules over the remains and he turned the surviving men of silver into the underwater Atlantians and deprived them of their incredible intellect to make them able to live underwater.
The Men of Bronze were warlike and through the wars, they literally killed themselves off to extinction. It was how they were made and at least they were honorable and rather naive when it comes to fighting.
The men of iron are modern humans
They are terrible in comparison to even the men of bronze
The men of Gold were content in their lives, the men of iron want what they cannot have
The men of Silver helped one another to create, and the men of iron destroy everything without regard even themselves.
The men of Bronze at least had the honor, the men of iron would spit on that honor and use it for advantage instead of reciprocating that honor.
Modern humans are possibly the worst iteration of humanity.
In the first book of the Percy Jackson series, we learn when the OG Percy goes to the Underworld about a priest that raised millions of dollars for orphaned children only to buy gold-plated toilet seats and a Lamborghini
They try to control everything, and what they can't control they want to destroy
They are stupid enough to believe that the world rotates around their lives. Piper Mclean's father is another huge example.
His mind broke when he truly accepted the world of gods and monsters.
Also, the torture probably helped break him but still.
The next question is what makes them so important or rather what makes the gods keep them around?
Is it because of the fact that they have to be remembered in order to keep their power and continue living?
No, they created humanity, not the other way around
They are supposed to be immortal only till they are forgotten what kind of bullshit is that?
Immortality is immortality
Sure, they don't have amortlality.
But, why are they dependent on humanity to remember them?
I will give them a pass as some of the domains of gods are disappearing like Pan's is
Something must have linked the two together but what
"We are getting close," Said Circe as I had slowed down enough for her to get his location
"Any idea where he could actually be?" I asked her
"No, this is the best tracking spell I have that would have allowed me to find him without anything that either belongs to him or his blood," She answered to which I nodded and flew us down to a forest.
As we land I can feel something is off
My gut is telling me that I am being watched by something here
"Circe?" A voice asks and I turn around to see a typical representation of a vampire
"Ambrogio," Answers Circe to which I just go over to the vampire expecting a fight and grab him by the throat
"I need answers," I lie and took to the sky with him in my grasp
"Who are you?" He gasps out hitting my arm to let him
"It doesn't matter, also you are disappointing," I told him while I threw him into the sky and used a KI beam to wipe him from existence
Not literally
Wait Circe is a goddess so can't she teleport
I go over to Circe
"You are a goddess, right? Can't you teleport?" I ask the question
"Yes, but I would discovered near instantly by other gods and they would question why I am out of my island," She says while I stare at her
After, a few moments
"Alright, I lied, I am not powerful enough to take us to their locations, and even if I attempted it. My power would run out before we arrived. Making us have to teleport many times," She said after a while
"Whatever," I said as I grabbed her by the armpits and took us off to California
I am not even going to pretend anymore
The moment I see Lycaon, I am going to summon water in front of his nose, fill his lungs with water and then freeze
Werewolves may only be killed with silver, anything else is fair game to have fun with
