Am I Supposed To Know You?

I am waiting for her to laugh and tell me that what she just said is a joke.

But she doesn't. I let out a holler I feel tears at the corners of my eyes. I stop myself and I see her not finding anything amusing.

"Oh, you mean I wasn't a joke? That's got to be the most I have laughed in a while," I clear my throat.

"You might find this funny, but you are not aware of whom you are dealing with," she warns and I sit upright, not liking her tone.

"Who am I dealing with?" I ask out of entertainment because this bitch thinks she can come here in my office and hand me out warnings and threats.

"You don't know me. I have heard about you Montero," she narrows her eyes, a smile curling on her lips as she flicks her nails.

"Oh?"

"Yes, you befriended the last girlfriend and then made sure to leave nothing behind," she laughs as if that's funny and I just with her, curiously. "That was cute I will give you that."

Cute.
