First Rebellion

Ji Wen faced his uncle's oppression. "I've already said that Fang Xiaonuan didn't go with me today. I was the only one who went there to play."

Taking the risk of being beaten and punished, Ji Wen bore the brunt of Ji Lingchen's fury alone.

Ji Lingchen had not settled one thing, but another had come. He walked out of the study and came to the railing. He shouted at the guilty Fang Xiaonuan downstairs, "Come up now!"

Fang Xiaonuan knew he was calling her, but she did not dare to move and could only pretend to be deaf.

"Must I keep calling your name before you come up? Or should I go down and ask you to come up?" Ji Lingchen said.

Fang Xiaonuan was speechless.

She slowly got up, lowered her head, and slowly walked upstairs to report to her husband. Upstairs, Fang Xiaonuan was leaning against the wall, not getting close to Ji Lingchen. Her small hands were awkwardly pressed against the wall as if she wanted to make a hole in the wall.
