Buying a Car

"That's impossible," Feng Qi said, immediately rejecting his decision.

Ji Wen said, "Mom, my uncle has been here all this time. I don't have to do anything 'bad' to keep him here."

"You want to live on your own? Who's going to drive your aunt to school?" Feng Qi said indifferently. "She won't let the chauffeur drive her."

Ji Wen was on the verge of breaking down. "So, you're insisting that I stay at home? Just to be Fang Xiaonuan's driver?"

Feng Qi then realized that her words had hurt her son, so she immediately explained, "I can take care of you better if you stay here."

"You're taking care of Fang Xiaonuan, right?" Ji Wen asked.

Feng Qi laughed once, sounding guilty.

In the afternoon, Ji Lingchen took his wife to buy a car, and Ji Wen came along.

"Xiaonuan, the Bentley looks good. Let's go and take a look."

Fang Xiaonuan glanced at him with some disdain. "I don't like it. I don't want it."

"I want it," Ji Wen said.
