"Shen gave the key to us. He was expecting your arrival." Yuan unlocked the front door and pushed it open.

He stretched out his hand asking her to get in first.

Feifei smiled in appreciation before he went inside.

"Thank you." she said softly.

Hearing her soft voice makes his nerves taut that he shivered with desire.

"Your welcome." Yuan smiled charmingly at Feifei with a sincere gaze.

Feifei was taken aback.

Feifei blinked. Then cleared his throat in embarrassment.

Inside the house, you can see the common area first.

In this area, there are two long benches like the ones at Yuan's house. Benches with arms and back. But Shen's benches have no covers and quilt like seats. Its just bare.

Then there is a small square table at the middle of these two benches.

The eating area also has two long benches with backs but no arms. Then again, there is another much larger square table in between these two benches.

Seeing the stairs, Feifei nodded his head in approval when he saw it was accessible near the eating area.

Much better. Even if he is just staying here temporarily, it would be inconvenient if the stairs are built outside.

Surveying the area, he discovered there were also two rooms.

The big one must be Cousin Shen's room. He by passed that room.

He went to the smaller room and opened it. He saw different dry supplies and tools. Cloths, soaps, ladder, sickle, oiled paper umbrella, bamboo poles of different lengths, back baskets and others.

Back basket!

His cousin is so good!

Thinking his cousin is always working, Feifei thought he would have to buy a back basket himself.

Does his cousin pick vegetables in the back mountain?

Turning around, he looked at the back door. The kitchen might be built outside.

"Please put the bag in one of those benches. I'm going to check the kitchens and the outhouse." Feifei told Yuan as he made his way towards the back door.

Opening the backdoor, he saw a small house which must be the kitchen.

There are three long counters made of stones on each sides of the room. The left, the center back and the right side.

On the first counter, four huge water jars were placed. On either side of this counter, there are two huge clay tanks bigger than the water jars.

The second Counter at the middle is where the brick stove is located with lots of stocked firewood.

The third counter is where pots of different sizes and pans were placed together with plates, bowls and other utensils. Below this counter are pails and huge basins.

There is also a long work table at the center. But no bench.

On the little corner near the kitchen entrance, there is another door. But there is a lock on it.

"Yuan! Yuan!" Feifei called out.

In a blink, Yuan was in front of him.

"What's wrong?" Yuan looked at her closely thinking she might have encountered something.

"I'm okay. But do you have the key to that room? Its locked." Feifei pointed to the small room in the corner.

Yuan handed in the keys Shen entrusted to them. "You try."

Feifei took the keys and indeed tried it. On the first try, the door really opened. Feifei was ecstatic!

Lucky!

When he checked inside, this room is actually for food storage. There were bags of different things and dried meat hanging on hooks.

His cousin is really living a life. Such extravagance.

"Your cousin prepared all these things for you. Shen never cooks. The mines offer food for their meals." Yuan explained.

"~oh~" Feifei was touched by his cousin's thoughtfulness. He locked the storeroom.

"Do you want to drink water? I can boil some for you." Feifei offered.

"No. I will check on the walls and see if its still good."Yuan said while walking out of the kitchen house.

"It would be bad if the walls has been smashed by animals." Yuan added.

"I'm coming with you. I'm also going to see the outhouse." Feifei hurriedly walked beside Yuan.

Walking together in silence, they walked around the protective wall. The wall is made of mud bricks and is twice the height of Yuan.

"Cousin Shen must have spent a lot for this house to look like this." Feifei admired his cousin's vision.

"Yes. He spent a lot. But he has been working at the mines for almost seven years. His savings must be good and the wages and benefits are also not bad. He deserves this house. Its something he worked hard for. His reward." Yuan was generous enough to comment.

Feifei smiled more warmly at Yuan.

Yuan was stunned by the intimate smile.

"You are beautiful." Yuan blurted out unconsciously while staring at Feifei's face.

Feifei's face instantly turned red!

He felt something slowly stirring inside him. Something he doesn't understand.

Seeing Feifei biting her lower lip, Yuan's eyes was blazing with fire.
