While Cerulean and the king further discuss preparations for the pier attraction. I go with princess Angela to a tea party.
It feels so surreal leaving the palace without my father or Cerulean. But as we pull into the gravel path and step out front of the beautiful manor all those thoughts fade away.
“Hello, royal consort. Hello, Princess Angela.” calls the women in front. They wave at us as we make our way.
I wave back. I’m far more nervous than I had predicted. I spin the jewelry-made collar around my neck and smile widely.
“Hello, I am Islet.”
“Jess and this is my sister Jem, with a J.” She says and offers a hand to shake. I take it and shake their hands one by one. We enter the house and walk through the well-lit halls. It smells of scones and blueberry muffins.
“We didn’t know what you would like so we made a bit of everything,” Jess says. She pulls out a chair for me to take a seat at the long table of girls in fancy dresses, hats, shawls, and jewelry.
