Damien’s eyes widen at the thought of getting the police involved, since there is no sure way of telling at this point if Eshe is in any danger. 


“No, I wouldn’t go that far this fast. It’s Monday so she’s probably at work right now. I’m heading back to Chicago as soon as possible. If you end up making contact with her, or Spence sees anything online, let me know. I’ll do the leg work when I’m back,” he chuckles half-heartedly. 


“Knowing her, she’s worrying me on purpose because I didn’t let her come.” 


“I hope you’re right boss, I really do.” Zeke hangs up, Damien staring at his phone screen while typing out a message to Eshe. 


“Good morning, beautiful. I’m sorry you missed out on this trip. I won’t make that mistake next time. How are you?” Shoving his phone into his pocket, he goes back inside with hope at the back of his mind that Eshe will contact him back.
