Chapter 34: Nora

I tried to find some kind of sadness on his face but it didn’t seem to be there. It was not like him to brush my mom off like that. We all agreed to take a free meal even though I was still full of nachos.

We all piled into the car and followed my brother. We, unfortunately, got stuck behind a giant logging truck. It kept flinging chunks of wood onto our car. My brother kept having to swerve to avoid windshield breaking pieces. My parents were starting to get a little panic-filled. I grabbed the weird handle that is always in the back seats of cars and finally understood why it was there.
