Chapter 44: Nora

“If you turn your head to the right you will see our vast collection of back issues,” said Quinn in his best tour guide voice. “on the left is an original Bob Kane batman sketch signed by the man himself.” I was trying to drink it all in but there was just way too much to see. This shop was like every comic book nerds' dream come true. Every few seconds I let out a squeak of excitement at something new and amazing.

“Hey, to be real for a second, how’re you doing?” asked Quinn dropping all jokes. “I’m doing good,” I said not knowing what to say. “Harvey was losing his mind when he heard about your accident. There was a moment of silence before he wheeled me into a dark room full of old comic book-themed arcade machines. The lights danced around and I was immediately a kid again. I wanted to jump out of my chain and spend hours playing but the pain reminded me I’m still a cripple.
