Chapter 22: The Sinner

The page Heldon turned was torn diagonally from left to right. Not much could be made out of it except a couple of ornate signatures over a thumbprint of blood.

“More Ancient Vampiric,” Janz scowled. “Heldon, what was your father doing with manuscripts like this?”

“I don’t know. But this looks like a treaty between at least four parties.” Heldon toyed with his loose long hair anxiously. He thought he had known his father well, but apparently not.

‘Just like you don’t know that weak mistake of a half-breed.’ Ryce mocked Heldon as he stepped next to Tival. Heldon knew Ryce wasn't really there, but it made his stomach twist to his claws at Tival's throat.

“It's my father’s treaty. Those are his initials: O.R. Owan Revimi.” Tival interjected, voice low and dark, pointing to the stamp. Heldon studied the other blood thumbprint, but only one initial was legible: D.
